The present invention relates to a polymeric composition which comprises: a) vinyl aromatic polymers and/or copolymers in an amount ranging from 50% to 99% by weight, calculated with respect to the overall composition, b) a polyolefin or a relative copolymer with an ester in an amount ranging from 1% to 50% by weight, calculated with respect to the overall composition, c) olefinic elastomer grafted with a.-vinyl aromatic polymer in an amount ranging from 0.01% to 40% by weight, calculated with respect to the sum of (a)+(b), d) an expanding agent in an amount ranging from 1% to 10% by weight, calculated with respect to the sum of (a)+(b)+(c).

The present invention relates to an expandable polymeric composition comprising: a) a polymeric matrix containing vinyl aromatic polymers and/or copolymers; b) from 0.1% to 20% by weight, calculated on the polymeric matrix (a), of an athermanous agent; c) from 0.01% to 10% by weight, calculated on the polymeric matrix (a), of at least one non-polymeric brominated flame retardant additive; d) from 0.01% to 10% by weight, calculated on the polymeric matrix (a), of at least one brominated polymer containing at least 50% bromine; e) from 0.01% to 5% by weight, calculated on the polymeric matrix (a), of a synergistic flame retardant additive; f) from 1% by weight to 10% by weight of at least one blowing agent.

The present invention relates to a process for separating natural rubber deriving from non-Hevea type plants, in the form of solid crumbs, from solutions in an organic solvent system including it, where said organic solvent system may comprise at least one nonpolar organic solvent, or a mixture of at least one nonpolar organic solvent and at least one polar organic solvent, and the concomitant removal of said organic solvent system from said rubber, where the aforementioned process comprises subjecting said solution to a stripping stage by means of water vapor, in presence of a dispersing system, separating the aforementioned crumbs of natural rubber from the liquid phase, obtained through the stripping stage, and subjecting said crumbs to drying.

There is an expandable vinyl aromatic polymer composition with improved mechanical and insulating properties that includes: a) 60% to 96% by weight of a vinyl aromatic polymer (a); b) 3% to 10% by weight of an expansion agent (b); and c) 1% to 30% by weight of a vinyl aromatic copolymer (c) containing from 1% to 10% by weight of a rubbery component as a dispersed phase, with the condition that the sum of (a), (b) and (c) is 100% by weight together with the process for its preparation and corresponding use and manufactured goods obtainable from that composition.

A mixture comprising: a) from 0% to 95% of aromatic compounds and/or polycyclic aromatic compounds, said polycyclic aromatic compounds, if present, always being in an amount less than 10% with respect to component (a); b) from 0% to 85% of a mixture containing aliphatic compounds and a content of aromatic compounds lower than 30% with respect to (b); c) from 0% to 20% of an acetate component; d) from 1% to 50% of a mixture of compounds containing keto groups; with the proviso that said solvent mixture contains at least three components, one of which is (d) and the other two selected from (a), (b) or (c) and that their sum is always 00%; and with the proviso that said mixture has a solubility, measured with the Hansen parameters, characterized in that the dispersion force component of the solubility δd varies from 17 to 20 Mpa{circumflex over ( )}0.5 the polar force component of the solubility δp varies from 0.65 to 5 Mpa{circumflex over ( )}0.5, and the strength of the hydrogen bond component of the solubility δh varies from 0.65 to 5 MPa{circumflex over ( )}0.5.
