The Brillouin erbium-fiber laser system includes: a Sagnac reflector generating even- and odd-order Strokes waves by launching input lights, a first unit forming a first resonator with the Sagnac reflector, wherein the first unit is coupled to a first directional coupler in the Sagnac reflector, a second unit forming a second resonator with the Sagnac reflector, wherein the second unit is coupled to the first directional coupler in the Sagnac reflector, and a third unit for inputting Brillouin pump light into one of first and the second units, whereby the optical fiber laser system outputs multiwavelengths with a dual spacing.

    摘要: The present invention discloses an apparatus for suppressing stimulated Brillouin scattering and the method thereof that a threshold fiber input power is raised in order to prevent loss of an inputted light by stimulated Brillouin scattering being generated in a case that a signal having a strong intensity is inputted to the optical fiber and so a light signal having more strong intensity can be inputted to the optical fiber. The apparatus for suppressing the SBS includes a plurality of first transmission unit, each of which has a wavelength separation, for transmitting information signals through a signal channel; and a second transmission unit for generating and transmitting a supervisory signal of which a modulation frequency and an intensity generates a phase modulation to the plurality of information signals, through a supervisory channel. The modulation frequency and the intensity of the supervisory signal are modulated in phase to the information signals by a cross phase modulation effect, thereby broadening a line width of the information signal.

    摘要: Provided are an apparatus for optimizing bias voltage of an electro-optic modulator, a method therefor, and an optical transmission system using the method. The present research provides a bias voltage optimizing apparatus of an electro-optic modulator that can stabilize bias voltage supplied to the electro-optic modulator through automatic bias voltage initialization control by considering the point that the form of an optical output signal and the intensity of a clock component are changed according to the bias voltage of the electro-optic modulator, a method therefor and an optical transmission system using the method. The apparatus includes: a clock extracting unit for extracting a clock frequency component from the frequency components in a wideband spectrum of the electro-optic modulator; a control unit for finding a point of the lowest electric intensity by detecting an electric intensity of the extracted frequency component and controlling the bias voltage adaptively by changing the bias voltage; and a bias voltage adjusting unit for controlling the bias voltage of the electro-optic modulator under the control of the bias voltage controlling unit.

A maintenance signal is generated according to a first LOS (Loss OF Signal) signal generated from at least one of the optical transmission section, the optical multiplex section, and the optical channel section. The maintenance signal and a frame-related channel such as a message communication channel are multiplexed to generate an optical supervisory channel frame. The optical supervisory channel frame is output to another device including a repeater and a terminal system through a single supervisory channel.

    摘要: Provided is an apparatus for an optical clock extraction, which is capable of providing high optical amplification rate and more efficient noise cancellation by using a Fabry-Perot (FP) filter and an optical amplifier. In the apparatus, an optical circulator changes a direction of an inputted optical signal. The FP filter extracts different frequency components existing on a spectrum of the inputted optical signal and being spaced apart by a clock frequency, removes noise from a reflected and amplified optical signal, and transmits the resulting signal to the optical circulator. An optical amplifier performs a primary amplification to equalize two different frequency components outputted from the filter, and performs a secondary amplification on an optical signal reflected and fed back thereto. A reflector reflects the primarily-amplified optical signal to the optical amplifier.
