摘要: A selective high intensity ultrasonic foaming technique is described to fabricate porous polymers for biomedical applications. Process variables, including ultrasound power, scanning speed, and gas concentration have an affect on pore size. Pore size can be controlled with the scanning speed of the ultrasound insonation and interconnected porous structures could be obtained using a partially saturated polymers. A gas concentration range of 3-5% by weight creates interconnected open-celled porous structures. The selective high intensity ultrasonic foaming method can be used on biocompatible polymers so as not to introduce any organic solvents. The method has use in cell related biomedical applications such as studying cell growth behaviors by providing a porous environment with varying topological features.

摘要: A micromixer is fabricated using a selective high intensity focused ultrasound foaming technique. The micromixer employs a 3D porous region for effective mixing. The 3D porous micromixer can achieve sufficient mixing results with a short mixing length for flows with a Reynolds number as low as 0.1. The fabrication process of the micromixer is rapid, low-cost, and biocompatible. The pore size of the micromixer can be controlled by adjusting the selective high intensity focused ultrasound foaming parameters. The micromixer has potential for use in lab-on-a-chip and micro-total-analysis devices.

摘要: A barbeque cooker in which the food stays at a predetermined level and a fire tray assembly can be adjusted as to vertical position relative to the food. The fire tray assembly includes two spaced apart parallel fire trays (for holding burning fuel) that are independently adjustable as to horizontal position. Vertical and horizontal adjustments are accomplished with hand cranks making for precise adjustments. The vertical adjustment hand crank operates a scissor jack assembly. A drip tray is attached to the top of the scissor jack assembly. The fire tray assembly is attached to and vertically spaced apart from the drip tray, allowing space for the horizontal adjustment screws. The scissor jack assembly is attached to front and rear end frames, each having a top portion configured to support a rotisserie and to support a grill. Two embodiments are presented, having different configurations of the horizontal adjustment screw assemblies.

摘要: Disclosed is an on-load voltage regulation tap switch for a transformer, comprising a main switch group, a switch contact protection branch and a switch control circuit, wherein the main switch group comprises a plurality of switch contacts, one end of the switch group is connected to a corresponding transformer winding tap, and the other end of the switch group is connected in parallel and is then connected to a power source; the switch contact protection branch is a series circuit formed by a plurality of groups of diodes and auxiliary switch contacts, and is respectively connected to both ends of a corresponding main switch in parallel; and the switch control circuit is composed of a power source, a single chip microcomputer and a peripheral circuit, and controls all of the main switches and auxiliary switches to act in a certain time sequence to complete the switching of the transformer windings.

摘要: A network accessing method includes selecting a group representative dynamically from each machine to machine (M2M) terminal group, wherein terminals in the M2M terminal group not selected as the group representative serve as group members. The method also includes requesting, by the group representative, network access from a base station, and serving, as a group member automatically after entering an idle state or entering another cell. This enables multiple M2M terminals to access a network at the same time while avoiding network access congestion.
