    摘要: The present invention provides a backlight assembly and a display system having the same, characterized in that the backlight assembly comprises: a plurality of light emission units and a control unit. Each unit having M kinds of emission components, each of the M kinds of emission components emitting light of a spectrum which is different from each other, wherein M is a positive integer equal to or greater than two. The control unit receives a first signal and determines a second signal according to the color information of the first signal, and individually controls light emission of each emission component of the plurality of light emission units based on the second signal, wherein the light emissions from the plurality of light emission units generate a spatially-dependent spectrum distribution, and the light emission of each light emission unit forms a color gamut in a color space which is individually different from others.

    摘要: A method of reducing power consumption in a liquid crystal display illuminated by a backlight device includes dimming the backlight and adjusting the intensity of the image to compensate for the dimmed backlight. A dimming factor for the backlight is based on a clipping point determining from the pixel intensity distribution of the image signal. The intensity of the image is adjusted based on the dimming factor, wherein a first tone mapping function is used to adjust pixel intensities below an intensity threshold and a second tone mapping function is used to adjust pixel intensities above the intensity threshold.

    摘要: A convertible bullet-proof backpack and vest includes a body section divided into a front portion, a middle portion, and back portion. The middle portion has a head slot opening, and the front and back portions have respective sections of bullet-proof fabric integrated therein. A zipper runs around an outer perimeter of the front and back portions. In a backpack configuration, the front portion and the back portion fold toward each other and the zipper secures the outer perimeters of the front portion and the back portion together thereby forming a hollow backpack interior between them. In a bullet-proof vest configuration, the zipper is unzipped thereby allowing a user to insert their head through the head slot opening such that the front portion hangs in front of a torso of the user and the back portion hangs behind the torso of the user.
