    摘要: Hard floor finishes and other stubborn soils can be removed using an aqueous dispersion of an alkylene glycol phenyl ether solvent combined with an ether alcohol solvent/coupler. Each component is used at a concentration that result in the creation of a visible dispersed appearance of the aqueous dilute use solutions. We have found that the alkylene glycol phenyl ether, in combination with at least one ether alcohol coupler or solvent, interacts with the aqueous medium to surprisingly provide enhanced cleaning performances. Hard to remove soils such as highly crosslinked urethanes and acrylic materials can be solubilized and removed by the alcohol solvent dispersions of the invention. We have found that the alkylene phenyl ether solvent requires a specific coupler cosolvent for activity. Such activity can be enhanced by the presence of a second coupler cosolvent and the use of a specific class of nonionic surfactant materials.

    摘要: The invention is a composition and method for removing soils containing polymerized non-trans fats from surfaces. The composition comprises a polymer and sequentrant, wherein the polymer is oleophobic and hydrophilic. Optionally, the composition may also include a wetting agent. The composition may be used by applying it to a clean surface as a pretreatment so that when said surface is soiled or contaminated with polymerized non-trans fats it may be easily removed with water.

    摘要: A composition for blood-containing soils is provided. The composition is useful in warewashing, hard surface cleaning, laundry, and in cleaning medical, dental, and animal care instruments and implements. A composition of the invention comprises an iron chelant, a reducing agent, and lysing agent. Compositions of the invention may be provided in concentrated form or as ready-to-use solutions and may be provided in liquid, powder, solid, or granulated forms. Optional additional ingredients include but are not limited to surfactants, pH modifiers, viscosity modifiers, water, builders, corrosion inhibitors, threshhold agents, anti-redeposition agents, aesthetic aids, antimicrobial agents, solidification agents, and processing aids. A desirable feature of the invention lies in its ability to clean blood-containing soils at low active concentrations. The invention further provides a method of removing blood-containing soils from a surface including applying a composition to a soil, the composition including an iron sequestrant, a reducing agent, and a lytic agent.
