According to the invention the drive means comprises a drive element (10) designed as a chain or belt which elements is guided over at least one deflection roller (35) and a drive roller (9) arranged in the area of the end profile (5) and coupled to the drive motor, which drive roller has a larger diameter than the deflection roller (35) and is arranged in a inner space surrounded by the frame (3) in such a manner that it partially extends in an imaginary prolongation to the rear of the movement path of the step plate (2). A pressure roller (39) acting from the outside on an upper belt side (10a) of the drive element (10) is associated with the drive roller (9) in such a manner that the upper belt side (10a) is arranged in an area located between it and the deflection roller (35) substantially parallel to the movement path but underneath the latter and its imaginary prolongation to the rear (FIG. 3).

摘要： A furnace installation as an intermediate storage between a mandrel-free coiling mechanism for strip-shaped cast billet, which is arranged downstream of a thin slab casting installation, and an uncoiling mechanism communicating with a downstream rolling mill, and a system for transporting the coiled bundles through the furnace installation. The furnace installation includes an integral coiling mechanism on the charging side. At least one transporting device for transporting the bundles is provided outside and below the furnace installation and is movable along the furnace installation. The transporting device penetrates into the furnace installation by lifting/lowering supports for the bundle to be transported. The uncoiling mechanism is likewise integrated in the furnace installation at a distance from the coiling mechanism which allows a plurality of bundles arranged adjacent to one another to be picked up. The uncoiling mechanism communicates with the coiling mechanism via the transporting device.
