摘要: This invention introduces systems and methods that control production process quality, wherein the production process has a plurality of durable items, each durable item is associated with a re-qualification process initiated as a function of a life expectancy associated therewith. The life expectancy associated with each durable item is reset upon completion of the associated re-qualification process. An exemplary method comprises (I) monitoring re-qualification indicia associated with each associated re-qualification process, and (ii) controlling availability of re-qualified durable items of the production process as a function of the re-qualification indicia to thereby control production process quality.

摘要: A system and method is disclosed for providing automatic qualification intervention in a manufacturing process that is performed by a plurality of components. At least one qualification process is associated with each of the components. The qualification processes are stored in a component/qualification matrix in a computerized database management system. The automatic qualification intervention system requires that all qualification processes for a component must be performed in conformity with the qualification processes for the component that have been stored in the component/qualification matrix. The automatic qualification intervention system significantly reduces the delays that are inherent in prior art methods.

摘要: An apparatus for sensing pressure is provided comprising a housing, electronics, a pressure sensor and a secondary seal. The housing comprises an interior bore and a first end, with the interior bore forming an opening at the first end. The electronics may be disposed in the interior bore. The pressure sensor is mounted at the first end of the interior bore. The pressure sensor may be operatively connected to send signals to the electronics in response to external fluid pressure. The pressure sensor may, at least in part, form a primary seal at the first end of the interior bore. The secondary seal may be disposed in the interior bore in between the pressure sensor and the electronics. The secondary seal may be configured to act as a backup seal to the primary seal. The secondary seal provides an added degree of safety from high pressure pipeline contents. The secondary seal also ensures that the important interior electrical components of the apparatus are not damaged upon failure of any component located at the first end. If the pressure sensor or primary seal is damaged, for example, a new pressure sensor or primary seal may be installed without having to replace the entire apparatus. The secondary seal also prevents fluid from a high pressure pipeline that has compromised the primary seal from being ejected from the pipeline. The secondary seal also prevents pipeline media from migrating through the electrical cable to a non-hazardous location.

摘要: A multi-conference unit (MCU) (2) is arranged to compress a video stream in the horizontal direction to adjust the aspect ratio prior to onward transmission to an endpoint (6-1 to 6-4). By arranging for an endpoint to de-compress the video stream by a similar amount, widescreen video streams may be transmitted and viewed using generally legacy equipment. The use of a widescreen transmission provides additional opportunities for effective layouts of windows in a composed video stream with excessive distortion or clipping.

摘要: Multimedia distribution systems are disclosed in which servers communicate with clients via audio, video, overlay and/or control channels. In many instances, the audio, video and/or overlay information is transcoded prior to transmission. In many embodiments, the servers and/or clients can be updated. In several embodiments, the updates can be performed in a manner that preserves the ability of all devices connected to a network to communication. One embodiment of the invention includes a server connected to a client via a network and at least one storage device containing audio, video and/or overlay information formatted in accordance with a first format. In addition, the client includes a storage device that stores information indicative of the audio, video and/or overlay formats that the client is capable of decoding and the server is configured to transmit audio, video, overlay and control information via separate audio, video and overlay and control channels.
