    摘要: A touch panel is integrated into a flat panel display device having a visual display surface with a front polarizer layer, particularly a liquid crystal display device. The touch panel comprises a flexible transparent membrane containing the front polarizer layer and having a first transparent conductive layer on a lower surface of the flexible transparent membrane and a rigid base comprising the flat panel display device and having a second transparent conductive layer on an upper surface of the rigid base. At least one spacer separates the flexible transparent membrane from the rigid base, keeping the first and second transparent conductive layers in spaced-apart facing relationship. A bus bar and tail communicate a signal from the touch panel to the flat panel display device.

    摘要: The present invention is a method and apparatus for capping and grounding an electrical connector to prevent leakage of electromagnetic interference into or out of a chassis for a piece of electronic equipment. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, a chassis panel has a conductive area that may serve as chassis ground. The electrical connector is secured to the chassis panel, and it is disposed over a penetration in the chassis panel. The electrical connector has a conductive shell that is electrically tied to chassis ground. An EMI plate caps the electrical connector, and it is also electrically tied to chassis ground. The EMI plate permits the transmission of desired signals into and out of the chassis via the electrical connector and associated conductors while substantially preventing leakage of electromagnetic interference through the electrical connector.

    摘要: An isolated access assembly for a back-to-back electronic display and static display setup. A central housing contains an electronic display with a static display being hingedly attached to the central housing on the opposite side of the electronic display. The static display can rotate to allow access to the rear of the electronic display without permitting access to the static display itself. A front door may be hingedly attached to the central housing and placed in front of the electronic display to allow the front portion of the electronic display to be accessed and serviced. A rear door may be hingedly attached to the static display to allow the static display to be accessed and serviced. A first locking mechanism may control access to the rear portion of the electronic display while a second locking mechanism may control access to the front portion of the electronic display. A first advertising party may be given proper access to the first and second locking mechanisms. A third locking mechanism may control access to the static display. A second advertising party may be given proper access to the third locking mechanism.

Air intakes are located in the housing of the LCD display, and air is pulled into the cavity of the display by one or more fans located in the housing. Air flows through the cavity and exits through a series of air baffles located along the top of the LCD display screen. The air baffles direct the air along the surface of the LCD display, creating an air curtain that may cool the LCD display. The flow of air through the display cavity may also cool the internal components of the LCD display.

A preferred embodiment utilizes a first gas chamber positioned anterior to the front display surface and a second gas chamber in gaseous communication with the first gas chamber and positioned posterior to the electronic display. The space between the second gas chamber and electronic display defines a gap, where ambient air can be drawn through the gap in order to cool the electronic display. A cooling chamber fan preferably forces gas to circulate through the first and second gas chambers, in order to remove heat from the front display surface.

    摘要: A system and method for displaying multiple images on a single display. A plurality of unique video sources may be provided where each video source provides video frames having a plurality of vertical lines. A portion of the vertical lines are captured for each video source and transmitted to the display. The partial video frames may then be re-assembled into a single video frame which can be shown on the display. The display contains a masking where only certain vertical lines are viewable at certain angles. The masking may allow two or three images to be simultaneously visible to the observer, depending on the angle of viewing the display. Wireless or wired transmission may be used. Some embodiments also use a sound focusing device which may be synced with the video source so that separate sound messages can also be observed depending on the angle of viewing the display.

    摘要: A system for cooling an electronic display where an isolating structure may be used to allow ambient air to cool power modules. The isolating structure substantially prohibits containments which may be present within the ambient air from contacting sensitive electrical components on the power modules or otherwise. A gasket may be used to seal the interface between the power modules and the isolating structure. Heat sinks may be placed in thermal communication with the power supplies and fans may draw air through a narrow channel in which the heat sinks are located. In some embodiments the narrow channel may have the opposing surface of the channel defined by the rear portion of an LED assembly. Exemplary embodiments may use the ambient air to cool both the power modules and a closed loop of isolated gas within the electronic display.
