Abstract: An earth working machine includes a machine frame, a drive configuration and a milling drum. A bearing stem is attached to one of the drive configuration and the milling drum, the bearing stem protruding in a first direction to a first axial end, the bearing stem having an outer surface including at least first and second cylindrical bearing surfaces axially spaced from each other, a furthest one of the cylindrical bearing surfaces from the drive axial end having a smaller diameter than a next furthest one of the cylindrical bearing surfaces from the drive axial end. A non-locating bearing is connected to the machine frame and configured to receive the first and second cylindrical bearing surfaces of the bearing stem.

Abstract: A self-propelled construction machine, having a milling drum housing having a sealing device which has a sealing element arranged in the working direction of the construction machine behind the milling drum, an adjustment device for adjusting the height position of the sealing element, and a controller for controlling the adjustment device of the sealing element. The sealing device has a scraper element, which is pivotably arranged on the sealing element such that the scraper element rests on the milled material and is pivoted in relation to the milling drum on the basis of the height of the milled material. The height position of the sealing element is adjusted on the basis of the pivot position of the scraper element.

Abstract: A self-propelled construction machine for milling a ground surface is provided with a machine frame, a working drum, and a transport conveyor with a discharge end from which worked-off milling material is dischargeable onto a point of impingement on a loading surface of a transport vehicle, wherein the transport conveyor is laterally slewable to a slewing angle about at least a first slewing axis. A controller is configured, during an initialization process, to specify a command variable within a coordinate system, the coordinate system being stored during the initialization process with its origin at a starting point associated with the machine. The controller is further configured during a working process, wherein the coordinate system is stationary, to automatically control the slewing angle corresponding to detected changes in position and/or orientation of the machine and relative to the command variable.

Abstract: The invention relates to a self-propelled ground milling machine, in particular a road milling machine or road recycler, having a machine frame supported by running gears and a working roller arranged on the machine frame in a roller housing, a hold-down device which is height-adjustable with respect to the traffic surface being arranged upstream of the working roller in the working direction. The invention further relates to a method for working on a traffic surface using a self-propelled ground milling machine. The ground milling machine comprises a detection unit which is formed in such a way that a physical variable characteristic of an undesirable state of the operating process is determined, in which state fragments are broken off from the traffic surface during work on the traffic surface using the working roller, apply a compressive force to the hold-down device and can press the hold-down device into a raised position with respect to the traffic surface. In the ground milling machine according to the invention, the device for height-adjusting the hold-down device is formed in such a way that a contact pressure, directed counter to the compressive force applied by the fragments, is applied to the hold-down device when the detection unit detects the undesirable state of the operating process. By applying a sufficient contact pressure, the hold-down device can be effectively prevented from rising from the traffic surface, in such a way that during the milling process it is at least made more difficult for fragments to break off undesirably from the traffic surface.

Abstract: The invention relates to a milling machine, in particular a road milling machine, a stabiliser, a recycler or a surface miner, comprising a drive means which is configured such that the milling machine performs translatory and/or rotatory movements on the ground, and a working means which is configured such that the ground is machined. The invention also relates to a method for operating a milling machine of this type. The milling machine according to the invention has a control unit 15 to input drive parameters and work parameters. The control unit 15 is distinguished by a selection unit 15C to select an operating mode from a plurality of operating modes. The control and processing unit 20 has a memory 20A which stores at least one predetermined drive parameter which is assigned to the operating mode, and/or at least one predetermined work parameter which is assigned to the operating mode, for each operating mode of the plurality of operating modes. The control and processing unit 20 is configured such that at least one assembly 4, 5; 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19 of the drive means and working means is controlled subject to the at least one drive parameter or work parameter which is stored in the memory 20A for the operating mode selected using the selection unit 15C, such that the particular machine function is carried out. The milling machine further provides that at least one function which describes the dependence of a work parameter of one assembly on a drive parameter of another assembly is stored for each operating mode, the control and processing unit 20 being configured such that, based on this function, at least one assembly of the working means or drive means is controlled such that the particular machine function is carried out.
