摘要: A measuring device electronics comprises a processor and two clock signal generators. One clock signal generator serves for producing a working clock signal, and also for producing a reference clock signal which is dependant on the working clock signal. The other clock signal generator, serves for producing a second reference clock signal, which is independent of the working clock signal. Based on the two independent reference clock signals, a frequency difference, can, to the extent that such is present, be ascertained during operation of the measuring device electronics or of the measuring device formed therewith. The frequency difference, represents a difference between the instantaneous clocking frequency of the first reference clock signal and the instantaneous clocking frequency of the second reference clock signal, and, in this respect, represents a measure for a deviation of an instantaneous clocking frequency, from the nominally predetermined clocking frequency, of the working clock signal.

摘要: A measuring device includes: a measuring transducer accommodated, at least partially, in a housing, for registering at least one, measured variable; and a measuring device electronics electrically connected, at least at times, with the measuring transducer. The measuring device electronics includes at least one measurement channel for registering and further processing at least one primary signal generated by means of the measuring transducer, and an electrical current measuring circuit for registering measuring-device-internally flowing, electrical currents. Furthermore, it is provided, that the electrical current measuring circuit registers, during operation, at least at times, especially recurringly, an electrical leakage current, which flows as a result of a potential difference existing, at least at times, between housing and measuring device electronics and as a result of an electrically conductive connection likewise existing between housing and measuring device electronics, especially an undesired, electrically conductive connection and/or an electrically conductive connection formed by a deposit affecting the housing. Taking into consideration the registered leakage current, the measuring device electronics generates, additionally, at least one state value, especially a digital state value, instantaneously representing an operating state, especially a defective operating state, of the measuring device.

摘要: A vibration meter and a method of measuring a viscosity of a fluid flowing through a pipe are disclosed. The vibration meter comprises meter electronics and a transducer assembly with an electromechanical excitation arrangement and with a flow tube which oscillates in operation. A sensor arrangement produces sensor signals representative of inlet-side and outlet-side deflections of the flow tube. An evaluation circuit derives from said sensor signals and from an excitation current generated by an excitation circuit for the excitation arrangement a viscosity value representative of the viscosity of the fluid.

摘要: The viscometer comprises a vibratory transducer with at least one flow tube for conducting a fluid to be measured and for producing friction forces acting in the fluid. To vibrate the at least one flow tube, an excitation assembly is provided, which in operation is traversed by an excitation current. To generate the excitation current and a viscosity value representing the viscosity of the fluid, the viscometer includes meter electronics which are connected to, and supplied with electric power from, a two-wire process control loop. The meter electronics feed a viscosity signal corresponding to the measured viscosity value into the two-wire process control loop. The viscometer is suitable for measuring a fluid flowing in a pipe, particularly in potentially explosive atmospheres.

摘要: A Coriolis mass flow/density sensor which can be installed in a pipe and through which a fluid to be measured flows during operation is balanced over a wide density range so that accurate measurements are possible. The Coriolis mass flow/density sensor includes a measuring tube, an excitation arrangement for exciting the measuring tube to vibrate in a second fundamental flexural mode of vibration; and a counterbalance member attached to the measuring tube which counterbalances the vibration of the measuring tube. A cantilever can be attached to the measuring tube midway between the inlet end and the outlet end of the measuring tube. First and second sensors sense the measuring tube vibration on the inlet and outlet sides of the measuring tube, respectively.
