A network device 20 includes a selection unit 23 that selects a call control card, for which a power supply is to be disconnected, from a plurality of call control cards, and a power saving control unit 24 that disconnects the power supply of the call control card selected by the selection unit 23. The power saving control unit 24 reduces a margin set in a call control cards not selected by the selection unit 23 in response to the disconnection of the power supply of the call control card selected by the selection unit 23 to thereby increase the number of operational connection calls set in the call control card not selected by the selection unit 23.
