摘要： An inkjet printable article includes an ink receptive layer bonded to a paper substrate. The ink receiving layer includes particles, polymeric binder and colorant durability enhancer. From about 60% to about 95% by total dry weight of the ink receiving layer is particles selected from the group consisting of clay, kaolin, and combinations thereof. The polymeric binder is selected from the group consisting of polyvinyl alcohol, styrene butadiene, acrylonithle-butadiene latex, and combinations thereof. The colorant durability enhancer is selected from the group consisting of boric acid, borax, phenyl boronic acid, butyl boronic acid, sodium tetraborate, and combinations thereof.

摘要： An ink-jet recording medium is disclosed which comprises a paper substrate having a surface for receiving an ink-jet ink containing a pigmented colorant. The surface is treated with at least one co-crystalline salt, which become associated with the substrate surface. The co-crystalline salt is capable of crashing pigmented colorants on the paper surface, and its use may help protect paper manufacturing equipment from corrosion.

The application also relates to a method of making surface-treated inkjet media, including providing a base stock including cellulose paper and applying a surface treatment composition to the base stock. The application also relates to a paper coated with the surface treatment composition and a system of inkjet printing with surface treated inkjet media.
