摘要: Disclosed are methods of increasing the surface hydrophobicity of the surface of a cellulosic article involving applying a solution of amylose-fatty ammonium salt inclusion complex in water to the article and then optionally applying an alkaline solution to the article to neutralize said amylose fatty ammonium salt inclusion complex to form an insoluble amylose fatty amine inclusion complex. Also disclosed are cellulosic articles produced by the methods.

摘要: The present invention relates to polyoxometalate-coated alumina trihydrate dispersants prepared by combining a polyaluminum chloride having certain characteristics with alumina trihydrate particles. Such dispersants are useful for forming cationic alumina trihydrate slurries, which can be mixed with titanium dioxide to produce stable cationic slurry blends useful in paper, paper-board, and paint (coatings) applications. The dispersants are also useful for preparing cationic titanium dioxide slurries.

摘要: A cigarette paper additive having harm reduction function and application thereof are provided. The additive contains alkali metal salts of butane tetracarboxylic acid or cyclobutane tetracarboxylic acid which are prepared by reacting the butane tetracarboxylic acid or cyclobutane tetracarboxylic acid with alkali. The application thereof is evenly adding the aqueous additive solution at different concentrations to cigarette paper by a metering rod-type film transfer sizing machine in a sizing section of the cigarette paper production, and the produced cigarette paper is used for cigarette production that can effectively reduce release of CO, phenol and tar in the mainstream smoke, and has better effects of harm reduction and tar reduction. The method of the invention is easy, does not need to alter the existing cigarette paper production process, and has low cost and higher industrial application value.

摘要: A printable recording media having a weight that is below 75 gsm and that contains a blend of hardwood and softwood fibers, wherein the total fiber content is at least 80 wt % of the total weight of the recording media; and a polymeric-modified pigment carbon black in an amount representing from about 0.02 wt % to about 1 wt % of the total weight of the recording media. Also disclosed herein are methods for making the printable recording media and a printing method using the printable recording media.

摘要: A method of producing a paper board comprising: a pulping step of disintegrating and beating fibers from a pulp raw material containing waste paper as a main raw material to obtain pulping process water; a stock preparation step of adding an additive containing a paper strength additive to the obtained pulping process water to obtain a prepared pulp raw material; and a paper-making step of making the obtained prepared pulp raw material into a paper board, wherein the paper board is produced by adding (a) an aqueous solution of hypochlorite and (b) an aqueous solution of water-soluble inorganic ammonium salt or ammonia water to the pulping process water to reduce the amount of the paper strength additive added in the stock preparation step.
