    摘要: An apparatus of feeding mailpieces such as envelopes is disclosed. The apparatus includes a supply conveyer for supporting thereon an array of mailpieces which are arranged in a tilted-backward position and moving such mailpieces forward, and a suction feeder which is located downstream of the supply conveyer for picking up by suction a forefront mailpiece from the array of mailpieces on the supply conveyer. The suction feeder has a rotary drum, a shaft rotatably supported in the drum and disposed with the axis thereof oriented in parallel to and offset from the axis of the drum. An external gear is fixed on the shaft for rotation therewith and a stationary internal gear engages with the external gear, the gear ratio of the external gear to the internal gear being n:n+1, wherein n represents an integer. A plurality of suction means arranged at positions radially spaced at a predetermined distance from the shaft and substantially equiangularly spaced from each other and movable integrally with the shaft in conjunction with the rotation of the drum for picking up each forefront mailpiece from the array of mailpieces on the supply conveyer.

    摘要: An apparatus of feeding mailpieces such as envelopes is disclosed.     摘要: An image processing apparatus includes an extraction unit, a counting unit and an information embedding unit. The extraction unit extracts a circumscribed figure of a pixel block in an image. The counting unit counts contact portions between the circumscribed figure extracted by the extraction unit and the pixel block.     摘要: A image edit apparatus in which area data of 16-bit width have been stored at the memory locations of the corresponding addresses of the respective memory planes of a plane memory 403. The operation of reading area data therefrom by a pseudo sync signal starts before a line sync signal becomes active. A density-conversion/area generating circuit 405 converts the data format from the plane type to the pixel type, so that area commands are generated. Then, the circuit 405 reads an edit command out of a logic RAM, using the area command as address, and outputs the command. By reading the area data earlier and processing that data, a delay in the density-conversion/area generating circuit can be absorbed, so that the output edit command is synchronized with the image data.

    摘要: A method and an apparatus of inserting insert or enclosure material into successive envelopes are disclosed. According to the envelope inserting method, the insert material is conveyed along a straight path successively to an envelope inserting position where the insert material is inserted into the envelope and the stuffed envelope is then conveyed out of the inserting position in the same direction as the above straight path. The method includes providing immediately above the envelope inserting position an envelope storage station where a plurality of envelopes are stored in a stack one above another with the front panel of each of the envelopes facing upward so that the envelopes in the storage station are fed successively to the envelope inserting position for insertion thereinto of insert material. Feeding of the envelopes is performed by means of a vertically disposed rotatable screw-like spiral member located at the downstream side of the envelope storage station as seen in the direction in which the insert material is conveyed. The spiral member has formed in the periphery thereof a spiral groove for receiving therein the bottom edges of the respective envelopes, thereby holding such envelops at the bottom edges thereof such that the bottom edges are separated one from another. The spiral member is rotatable in such a direction that causes the bottom edges of the envelopes to move downwards with the rotation of the spiral member and then to be released successively from the holding by the spiral member.

    摘要: A handy bookbinder comprises at least one cover and a spine member. The spine member is formed with an adhesive face at one surface thereof. The spine member may or may not be attached to the cover at one side portion of its adhesive face. In the case where the spine member is attached to the cover, for use, sheets of paper to be held together are placed on the cover, and the spine member is bent and attached to one side of the whole of the sheets, and is attached to the uppermost sheet. Thus, the sheets are held together very easily as if a book were bound. If it is desired to add a new sheet or sheets to the book or to remove one or more of the existing sheets, the spine member may be stripped from the cover or the last sheet and the foregoing one side of the whole of the sheets. After the desired addition or removal, the book can be rebound in the same manner as described above.
