Abstract:
An information processing apparatus submits jobs for execution on a server. Jobs are classified into a plurality of groups, and these groups are ranked in ascending order of workload that the groups of jobs impose on the server. A processor in the information processing apparatus counts ongoing jobs that are currently executed on the server and belong to a specified number of top-ranked groups. The processor designates pending jobs that belong to other groups than the specified number of top-ranked groups and suspends submission of processing requests of the designated pending jobs to the server, when the number of ongoing jobs is greater than or equal to a threshold and when there are one or more pending jobs that belong to the specified number of top-ranked groups.
Abstract:
An analyzing apparatus calculates a time-series change in an average process time per process of a server belonging to a first tier of a plurality of tiers and a time-series change in an average process time per process of a server belonging to a second tier of the plurality of tiers, referring to a storage unit that stores, with respect to each transaction executed in a multi-tier system in which a plurality of servers coordinate with each other to execute the transaction, information indicating periods in which the server in each of the plurality of tiers executes processes for the transaction. The apparatus determines the presence/absence of a correlation between the time-series change in the average process time of the server belonging to the first tier and the time-series change in the average process time of the server belonging to the second tier.
Abstract:
An operation management apparatus obtains a value Xi indicating the number of process requests being processed by an information processing apparatus during each sampling operation, from N samplings acquired during a specific time period from the information processing apparatus, wherein N is an integer satisfying a condition of 1≦N, and i is an integer satisfying a condition of 1≦i≦N. The apparatus determines, for a plurality of information processing apparatuses, a ratio of the sum of values Xi, each value Xi having a difference, from a maximum value of the values Xi, falling within a specific range, to the total sum of the values Xi. The apparatus detects an information processing apparatus having the ratio equal to or higher than a specific value.
Abstract:
A query processing apparatus and method automatically generating a query window for an end user. The apparatus and method includes acquiring virtual schema information about tagged document data, automatically generating a query window on the basis of the virtual schema information, specifying an increase or a decrease in a number of repetitions of condition input fields for a repetitive item on the query window, copying content of the condition input fields in a certain repetition to the condition input fields in a newly-added repetition when an increase in the number of repetitions is specified, specifying a joining condition between conditions in each of the repetitions; and generating query code from information input in the query window and transmitting the query code to the query processing apparatus.
