摘要： When the sensor block 10 is placed on the roller block 20 and the reading surface of the reading sensor 31 faces the aforementioned driving roller 28, then paper is automatically fed with the driving roller 28 and text and image data are read with the reading sensor 31. On the other hand, when the sensor block 10 is reversed 180.degree. and placed again over the roller block 20, then the reading sensor 31 reads text and images when the sensor block 10, arranged beneath the roller block 20, are moving or the document by manual operation.

摘要： An electronic timepiece provided with a liquid-crystal cell in a grounded casing, a common electrode on one side thereof and a segmented pattern electrode on the other side has a transparent shield electrode which is grounded to the casing and overlies the major part of the cell, with the exception of at least one window registering with a detecting electrode positioned on the glass cover of the casing. An ungrounded electrode underneath the window is pulsed by the electronic clockwork, the pulses being picked up by the detecting electrode and delivered to an evaluating device for measuring the operating rate of the timepiece. In one embodiment, two such windows associated with respective detecting electrodes are provided, one window registering with the common electrode at a location remote from all the segments of the pattern electrode, the other window being aligned with a coplanar extension of one of the segments of a digital array which is intermittently energized in the course of a pattern-forming cycle; the evaluator distinguishes between periods when the pulses picked up by the detecting electrodes are in phase and in phase opposition.

摘要： An analog quartz timepiece having a manually operated external control member, and a correction signal generation circuit controlled by the external control member to generate low speed and high speed correction signals when the external control member is actuated for a short period of time and for a predetermined time interval, respectively, by which a stepping motor is driven at a selected speed to perform time correction. The timepiece also includes a click mechanism operative to shift an hours hand step-wise from any optional position without affecting a minutes hand and a seconds hand. The timepiece further includes a seconds zero-reset mechanism operative to reset the seconds hand to zero.
