The camera module includes a module body having a surface for receiving a circuit board, the surface including one or more recessed portions for preventing damage to the body when the one or more contacts of the circuit board are soldered. The decoder module includes a folded circuit board arrangement including parallel first and second circuit boards. The chassis module includes a main chassis having a portion that engages a processor of the decoder module to transfer heat from the processor into the main chassis.

    摘要: A code scanner, which illuminates a scanned code from a distance, includes a liquid lens which focuses the reflected image of the code on an image sensor. The scanner includes a range detector, preferably laser-based, which determines the distance to the scanned code, and the liquid lens is controlled to focus at the detected distance. A source of illumination is uncontrolled to maintain its intensity substantially constant, regardless of the distance of the scanned code. This can be achieved by controlling the intensity of illumination (directly), or the dispersal angle of illumination in relationship to the distance.

    摘要: A temperature compensated liquid lens is disclosed in which wait times for the liquid lens to respond to an applied control voltage or calculated in advance and stored in a table. A temperature sensor is utilized with the liquid lens that provides temperature data to the controlled circuitry. The wait time for the liquid lens to respond is then minimized to be no more than the minimum required time for the liquid lens to respond to the controlled voltage enough to focus the image to a prescribed level of quality.
