摘要: There is provided a plasma display apparatus and a driving method thereof. The plasma display apparatus comprises an APL controller controlling an average picture level (APL) to adjust the number of setup waveforms depending on frame data inputted from the outside; a waveform generator generating a setup waveform depending on an average picture level; and a plasma display panel to which the setup waveform is applied, wherein the number of the setup waveform set in a reference section in which the average picture level increases is different from the number of the setup waveform set in the same section in which the average picture level decreases.

摘要: A plasma display apparatus is disclosed to prevent an erroneous discharge when a plasma display panel is driven and drive the plasma display panel at a high speed. The plasma display apparatus comprises a plasma display panel (PDP) comprising a scan electrode, a sustain electrode and an address electrode, a scan driver for applying a set-up waveform which rises up to a first voltage at a first slope and then rises up to a second voltage at a second slope to the scan electrode during a reset period, and an address driver for applying a first positive polarity pulse to the address electrode while the set-up waveform is being applied to the scan electrode.

摘要: This invention relates to a method of driving a plasma display panel that is adaptive for generating a stable sustain discharge in a low opposition discharge voltage to improve a driving efficiency. A method of driving a plasma display panel, time-dividedly driven by dividing a plurality scan electrodes, sustain electrodes, and address electrodes into an initialization period, an address period, and a sustaining period, according to the present invention includes: applying a positive direct current voltage to the address electrode in the sustaining period; and applying a positive first sustaining pulse to the scan electrode and a positive second sustaining pulse to the sustain electrode, in the sustaining period.

摘要: A method of driving a plasma display panel for generating a stable sustain discharge is disclosed. In the method, first sustaining pulses are applied to the scan electrodes such that a sustain discharge can be generated. Second sustaining pulse are applied to the sustain electrodes in such a manner to be alternated with the first sustaining pulses. A stabilization pulse is applied to an address electrode provided alternately with the scan electrode for each discharge cell such that said sustain discharge can be generated via a surface-discharge area of a voltage close curve.

摘要: Handover execution and communication resumption in a wireless access system is provided. Performing a handover includes communicating with a serving base station through a first communication link and receiving from the serving base station, handover information associated with at least one candidate target base station. The method also includes transmitting handover indicator to the serving base station indicating a handover operation to a selected target base station and performing a ranging procedure with the selected target base station to establish a second communication link with the selected target base station while maintaining the first communication link with the serving base station. The method also includes being released from the serving base station in response to a handover complete status message from the selected target base station to the serving base station, or resuming normal communication with the serving base station if the handover fails with the selected target base station.
