    摘要: The present invention facilitates a supply of ink with a structural components at relatively low costs. It is performed by shifting a printing head having ink ejecting portion and sub tank portion into a state of reduced pressure. That is, draining ink from the sub tank portion to the outside and supplying ink from an ink storage container to the sub ink portion are performed by a reduced pressure in the printing head. Also, a carriage on which the printing head can be mounted shifts its position, and a plurality of ink receiving portions communicated with a plurality of their relative sub ink tank and a plurality of ink supplying portions communicated with a plurality of their relative main ink tanks are arranged in a predetermined manner. That is, the plurality of sub ink tanks and a plurality of main ink tanks are communicated together on a pair basis.

    摘要: In a battery-driven system comprising an electronic apparatus as a main unit and a power supply unit which incorporates a battery (cells) and supplies source power for working the main unit, the present invention intends to achieve more efficient use of the battery. A discharge switch for turning on/off an output of the battery supplied to the side of the main unit is incorporated in the power supply unit. In response to turn-on of a switch provided on the main unit side or a signal from an MPU (control unit) on the main unit side, supply of the source power from the power supply unit to the main unit is controlled to turn on/off.

    摘要: A recording head has a plurality of recording elements which are divided into a plurality of blocks and each block is driven in a time division fashion. The recording head has a signal generation circuit for generating an output signal for selecting a drive block in response to an input signal for designating the drive block from a main body of a recording apparatus. The number of signal lines of the input signal is smaller than the number of signal lines of an output signal. One such recording head is provided for each of a plurality of colors to record a color image. Signal lines of an input signal are common to the respective recording heads. Thus, the number of signal lines between the recording heads and the main body of the recording apparatus is reduced and cost reduction and space saving are attained.

    摘要: A recording apparatus records an image on a recording medium by scanning by a recording head. Mask data for masking record data is set in registers, a record timing signal synchronized with the scan of the recording head is counted up by a counter, and the mask data set in the registers is selected by selectors in accordance with the count. The selected mask data is logically ANDed with the record data to drive the recording head. A load to software is reduced and the recording is attained while the record data is masked with a simple construction.

When the recording apparatus is in operation (in use), the part of this outer casing becomes the sheet feeding tray which is open to stack recording sheets. The recording apparatus is provided with a linear antenna suitable for transmitting and receiving radio waves of ultra-short wave frequency band. The antenna is arranged on the right side of the recording apparatus, observed from the front side thereof, along the edge of the end portion of the cover that dually functions as the sheet feeding tray.
