    摘要: The present invention relates to an infrared absorbent comprising a metal complex. With the use of the infrared absorbent, there is provided an infrared absorbing material capable of absorbing near infrared light having a wavelength of 700-1500 nm or far infrared light with a high transmittance of visible light and a good fastness to heat and light. The infrared absorbent is suitable for various applications such as a safelight filter for infrared sensitive materials, control of growth of plants, cut-off of heat radiation, infrared cut filter harmful to tissues of human eyes, infrared cut filter for semiconductor light receiving elements or color solid image pick-up elements, and infrared cut filter for an optoelectronic integrated circuit wherein electrical and optical elements are incorporated in the same substrate.

    摘要: An infrared absorbing composition is disclosed, which contains at least one compound selected from compounds represented by formula (I) ##STR1## Compounds represented by formula (II) ##STR2## and compounds represented by formula (III) ##STR3## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5, R.sup.10, R.sup.11, R.sup.12, R.sup.13, R.sup.14, R.sup.17, R.sup.18, R.sup.19, R.sup.20 and R.sup.21, which may be the same or different, each represents a halogen atom, a hydrogen atom, or a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, aryl, cycloalkyl or heterocyclic group which is bonded to the carbon atom of the benzene ring either directly or via a divalent linking group, or any pair of R.sup.1 to R.sup.5, R.sup.10 to R.sup.14, R.sup.17 to R.sup.21 having adjacent positions on the same ring combine to form a substituted or unsubstituted ring; R.sup.6 and R.sup.7, which may be the same or different, each represents an alkyl group or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group; and R.sup.8, R.sup.9, R.sup.15, R.sup.16, R.sup.22 and R.sup.23, which may be the same or different, each represents a hydrogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group or a cyano group; or R.sup.8 and R.sup.9, R.sup.15 and R.sup.16, or R.sup.22 and R.sup.23 combine to form a substituted or unsubstituted ring, which may be condensed with one or more additional rings or ring systems which may be further substituted with substituents. The composition selectively absorbs far to near infrared rays having wavelengths of 600 nm or more and are useful as an optical filter.

    摘要: An infrared absorbent comprising a metal complex compound prepared by coordinating two thiorato bidentate ligands to a center metal and neutralizing a complex ion with a cation. With use of the infrared absorbent, there is provided an infrared absorbing material capable of absorbing a far-infrared or near-infrared light having a wavelength of 700-1500 nm which has a high transmittance of a visible light and a good fastness to heat and light. The infrared absorbing material can be used for an infrared absorbing material such as an optical filter or other various objects.
