摘要： In an air conditioner having a plurality of valves for adjusting the flow of refrigerant circulating in an outdoor unit and an indoor unit, and a controller for controlling the opening degree of each of the valves while successively switching the control target value between these valves and a valve control method for the air conditioner, the controller judges whether the opening degree of a currently-operated (controlled) valve which is currently being subjected to the opening degree control operation is coincident with a target value. If the opening degree of the valve reaches the target value even within a predetermined one-operation time set for the valve, the control target valve is immediately switched to a next valve. Further, if the opening degree of the valve does not reach the target valve even after the predetermined one-operation time, the one-operation time is extended to continue the opening degree control operation on the currently-operated valve.

摘要： When a fixing roller 1 generates heat by a magnetic flux generating section 3 during a standby time, a control section 5 rotates the fixing roller 1. This prevents the fixing roller 1 from locally generating heat and being damaged. Moreover, the control section 5 rotates and heats a pressure roller 2 during the standby time, which makes it possible to keep the pressure roller 2 at a specified temperature and to reduce a time taken for a fixing device to recover from the standby state.

摘要： A fixing device, an image forming apparatus having the same include a fixing member having an outer peripheral face with which a sheet to be transported is brought into pressure contact, an exciting coil for induction heating of a heat generating layer of the fixing member, and an RF power supply circuit for applying a voltage of a certain drive frequency to the exciting coil. A degaussing coil is placed in small size sheet non-passing regions corresponding to end sections of the outer peripheral face of the fixing member with respect to the width direction of the sheet. A changeover switch opens or closes the degaussing coil in accordance with the size of the sheet to be transported. A control section is provided for changing and setting a drive frequency of the RF power supply circuit along with opening or closing of the degaussing coil.

An image is fixed onto a sheet, which is transported in a state of being in pressure-contact with the outer peripheral surface of the fixing roller, by heat from the heat generating layer of the fixing roller.
