摘要： Provided is an ink-jet recording process for forming a color image on a recording medium using a liquid formulation and a color ink in combination, wherein the liquid formulation contains a cationic polymer having a weight-average molecular weight in the range of from 400 to 1,400, and the liquid formulation and the ink are each ejected from a recording head having an ink ejection volume per dot of from 2 to 25 picolitters.

摘要： Disclosed herein is an ink comprising a dye having at least one anionic group, an amino acid type polyamine or a polyethyleneimine containing at least 7 nitrogen atoms in its molecule, and water, wherein the dye is either a metallized azo dye or a nonmetallized azo dye satisfying the following conditions (x) and (y) at the same time:(x) no anionic group is situated at an ortho position to the azo bond, and at least one anionic group exists at another position than the ortho position to the azo bond; and(y) at least one aromatic residue is bonded to the azo bond, and the aromatic ring of the aromatic residue is a benzene or naphthalene ring, with the proviso that the aromatic rings situated on both sides of the azo bond are not naphthalene rings at the same time if present.

Joints of each of Y, M and C color swaths are spaced from joints of swaths of the other two colors by an equal distance, and the discharge port groups are offset from each other by 8n times of a discharge port pitch in a direction of feed of the recording medium. In a number of image buffers corresponding to the discharge ports, image data in one buffer is separated from image data in a different image buffer by an amount that is an integer multiply of one 8 bit byte.

摘要： An ink jet cartridge has a recording head portion and an ink containing portion which are detachably mountable relative to each other. The recording head portion ejects ink to effect recording with the ink. The cartridge includes a first ink container, provided in the recording head portion, for containing the ink; a second ink container, provided in the ink containing portion, for containing the ink; and an ink communication tube for establishing ink communication between the first ink container and the second ink container, wherein the ink communication tube is not externally exposed.
