摘要： An immediate printing type image forming apparatus is provided of which the warm-up time is sufficiently shortened without causing any trouble to occur in the execution of image reading processing and/or image forming processing. The image forming apparatus is configured to determine a time required to raise the current temperature of the surface of a heating roller in a fixing unit to a predetermined temperature and increase the duty ratio of a power waveform to be fed to each of a copy lamp and a motor driving a polygon mirror when the time required thus determined is shorter than each of a time required to increase the current light quantity of the copy lamp to a predetermined light quantity and a time required to raise the current rotational speed of the motor to a predetermined speed, thereby turning each of the copy lamp and the motor into respective predetermined condition before the elapse of the determined time required.

摘要： An information processing device is provided where in communications between the information processing device and another information processing device, the transmission rate of a communications interface of the information processing device is automatically set in accordance with a transmission rate at which the communications interface of the other information processing device is operable, for communications. A printer device holds a USB driver information managing table and/or a USB hardware information managing table which are lists of information related to a driver and/or hardware of a USB interface. The printer device obtains, from the host PC, printer device USB driver/hardware information which is information on a driver and/or hardware of a USB/IF of the host PC. The printer device checks a communications mode in which the USB/IF of the host PC is operable by comparing the printer device USB driver/hardware information and the USB driver information managing table and/or USB hardware information managing table. In accordance with results of the checking, the printer device determines a communications mode for the USB/IF of the printer device.
