摘要: A friction material is provided with a matrix fiber, a binder, and a filler. The friction material contains a stabilized zirconia having a lattice constant in a range from 99.93 to 99.95% as compared with a lattice constant of a single crystal of stabilized zirconia. The lattice constant scarcely changes, since the stabilized zirconia contained in the friction material undergoes less introduction of distortions when used under severe conditions. Accordingly, the stable friction characteristic with less change of the friction coefficient in the initial stage of using the brake can be obtained.

摘要: A process for producing a friction material is disclosed, which comprises integrally bonding a preform of a friction material molding compound by heat-forming to a metallic backing plate which has been formed into a given shape and has undergone degreasing and priming, said heat-forming being conducted after the backing plate has been preheated to a temperature about equal to the heat-forming temperature to be used. The process is effective in simplifying the temperature control conducted in the heat-forming step and in providing high-quality friction materials always having stable physical properties and performances.

摘要: In an injection and compression molding process wherein molten material is fed by a screw, incorporating a counterflow preventing valve (CPV), through a flow control valve (FCV) into a mold cavity, the injection volume is controlled by:with the FCV closed, feeding a predetermined quantity of material through the CPV into a chamber between the CPV and the FCV,then advancing the screw with the FCV maintained closed to cause the CPV to close, thereby raising the pressure of the material in the chamber,determining when the pressure of the material in the chamber reaches a predetermined pressure,determining whether the movable die is at a predetermined distance from the stationary die,opening the FCV after the pressure of the material in the chamber has reached said predetermined pressure and the movable die is at the predetermined distance from the stationary die,setting as an original point of a determination of the injection volume either (a) a position of the screw at the opening of the FCV or (b) a time at the opening of the FCV,injecting the material into the mold cavity while the mold cavity is open to atmospheric pressure,closing the FCV either (a) when the screw has reached a position advanced a predetermined distance from the thus set original point or (b) at a predetermined time after the thus set original point, andcompressing the material in the mold cavity.

摘要: An object is to provide a gaming machine in which, when a part of a symbol combination for a winning combination is aligned on a winning line, a player can have increased expectation on an alignment of the winning combination even if the player is well-experienced in games of such a gaming machine. The game machine includes three reels to interchangeably display a plurality of types of symbols, and makes a selection for either an acceptance to select an almost-winning prize which corresponds to a combination of symbols having a different part of symbol from a winning combination (a symbol combination of three White 7 symbols) for a predetermined prize group (e.g., White 7 Prize), or a refusal not to select the almost-winning prize. When an acceptance is selected by the selection, in the combination of symbols corresponding to almost-winning prize, a part of symbols which is identical to that of the winning combination (a part for a left reel and a part for a right reel) is controlled to be stopped on a winning line to be displayed. Then, after another selection is made to determine whether the winning combination is aligned on the winning line or not, a middle reel is controlled to stop based on the result of the latter selection.

摘要: In an injection press having a mold in the form of a moveable die positioned on a moveable plate and a fixed die positioned on a fixed plate, the moveable die is moved to a compression starting position which is spaced slightly from the fixed die, the resin to be molded is injected into the mold cavity between the two dies, and the moveable die is then moved towards the fixed die to compress the thus injected resin. The compression starting position is determined by mechanical positioning means which can adjust the compression starting position. The stroke deviation for the compression can be adjusted by detecting the position of the moveable plate during the compression stroke so that the levelness of the moveable die can always be maintained during the compression stroke. Thus, the parallelism of the two dies can be stably maintained against the injection pressure.
