摘要： An image forming apparatus that executes an image forming process based on print data including an execution command of transparency processes to be executed, comprises: a first storage unit to be used when the transparency process is executed; and a control unit for controlling the first number of transparency processes to be executed when a storage capacity of the first storage unit is insufficient to execute the transparency processes to be executed, and causing a display unit to display a preview image to which the second number of executable transparency processes different from the first number has been executed to determine an image being an object for print output based on an instruction by an operator relating to which transparency process is executed.

摘要： An image forming apparatus is equipped with at least a first analyzing section to analyze first print setting information included in the print data and described outside the main body of the document data, a second analyzing section to analyze second print setting information included in the main body of the document data, a memory section having a memory area to memorize print setting information, a print setting control section to update print setting information stored in advance as default data in the memory area for each setting item on the basis of the first print setting information and thereafter to allow print setting information of setting items in the predetermined memory area to be updated further on the basis of the second print setting information except the setting items in which the print setting information has been updated on the basis of the first print setting information.

摘要： There is described a file editing apparatus, a file editing method and a file editing program, each of which makes it possible not only for the user to edit an XPS file easily and conveniently, but also for plural users, respectively located at different sites, to issue instructions for editing the same XPS file from the different sites at a time. The apparatus includes: a receiving section to receive a print job; a parsing section to parse the print job, so as to read file editing instruction information attached to the print job; and a file editing section that decompresses an XPS file to edit the XPS file decompressed, and then, compresses the XPS file after editing, so as to create an edited XPS file. Accordingly, the apparatus also makes it possible to edit the XPS file, irrespective of the OS or the environment of the application program currently executed.

摘要： There is described an image forming apparatus, which make it possible to appropriately print each of a valid print object and an invalid print object. The apparatus includes: a printing section to conduct a printing operation based on the print data, so as to create the print product; and a control section to determine whether the digital signature is valid or invalid so as to control the printing operation, based on the determined result. When the plurality of print objects includes both a valid print object for which the digital signature is determined as valid and an invalid print object for which the digital signature is determined as invalid, the control section controls the printing operation, so as to enable the valid print object to be printed, based on the print data, while disable the invalid print object to be printed, based on the print data.

摘要： Disclosed herein is an image forming apparatus, including: a language analysis unit for analyzing print data and generating data having an intermediate format between the print data and bitmap data generated based on the print data; an image processing unit for rasterizing the generated data having the intermediate format for each band by using the predetermined number of lines and generating the bitmap data; a memory for holding the data for which rasterizing processing is being performed by the image processing unit; a printing unit for performing printing based on the generated bitmap data; and a number-of-line switching unit for switching the number of lines of the band in the rasterizing processing of the image processing unit according to whether the print data is data that can include transparency processing data or not.
