    摘要: To provide a process for producing toner particles in a good efficiency which have less residue of monomers and less other organic volatile components, the process has a polymerization step of polymerizing a polymerizable monomer composition containing at least a polymerizable monomer, in a vessel holding therein an aqueous medium, wherein a high-temperature saturated steam with a temperature higher than 100° C. is introduced into the aqueous medium held in the vessel, at the latter half of polymerization or after the polymerization has been completed, to remove at least organic volatile components from toner particles having at least a binder resin and a colorant.

    摘要: In a process for producing toner particles by pre-dispersing at least a colorant and/or a release agent in a first dispersion medium to prepare a first fluid mixture, preparing a second fluid mixture from the first fluid mixture by means of a fine-dispersion machine, and forming toner particles from the second fluid mixture; (i) the fine-dispersion machine has at least a first treatment ring and a second treatment ring approachable to and separable from the former and a rotary drive mechanism which makes the former rotate relatively to the latter, and (ii) the first fluid mixture is introduced to the part between the first treatment ring and the second treatment ring to make the latter separate from the former, and the colorant and/or the release agent are dispersed in the form of fine particles by the rotation of the first treatment ring to obtain the second fluid mixture.

    摘要: A toner for developing electrostatic images, includes toner particles and 10-500 isolated low-molecular weight wax particles per 10,000 toner particles. The toner has a melt index as measured at 125.degree. C. under a load of 98 N of at least 10. The toner particles comprise at least a binder resin, a colorant and the low-molecular weight wax. The low-molecular weight wax comprises a compound represented by the formula of: R--Y, wherein R denotes a hydrocarbon group, and Y denotes a hydroxyl group, carboxyl group, alkyl ether group or alkyl ester group. The low-molecular weight wax has a thermal property providing a DSC curve as measured by a differential scanning calorimeter exhibiting: (i) a maximum heat-absorption peak having a peak temperature in a temperature range of 70.degree.-130.degree. C.; (ii) a heat-absorption peak including the maximum heat-absorption peak showing an onset temperature of at least 50.degree. C., and (iii) a maximum heat-evolution peak in a range of .+-.15.degree. C. from the peak temperature of the maximum hat-absorption peak. The toner shows a good fixability while retaining a good productivity through the melt-kneading-pulverization process.
