    摘要: An inner frame member, of a length that is less than the entire length of a hull, is joined to the inner surface of the hull that forms a lower portion of a body of a personal watercraft. The inner frame member has an engine mount portion that supports an engine thereon, an impeller shaft support region that supports thereon an impeller shaft of a propulsion device driven by the engine, and bulkheads extending in the lateral direction of the hull and joined to the inner surface of the hull. In accordance with the present invention, the personal watercraft is light weight, but also retains rigidity and assembling efficiency of the hull.

A locking mechanism (1L) of a deflector (1A) for a watercraft comprises a first member (a locking member) (1E), a second member (an engaging member) (1K) to be engaged with the first member (1E), and a third member (an unlocking member) (1R) for disengaging the first member (1E) from the second member (1R), the first member being attached to a fixing side to be able to engage the second member therewith, the second member being attached to a deflector side, and the third member being capable of performing up-down movement of the deflector (1A), and the engaging state of the first member is released in an initial stage of operation of the third member, the second member is caused to be operated interlockingly at a succeeding stage to perform the up-down movement of the deflector, and the second member is brought into the engaging state by the first member in a succeeding final stage.

    摘要: A theft prevention apparatus of a personal watercraft equipped with a main switch for opening/closing a main power-supply circuit including a starting circuit of an engine is provided. The apparatus inhibits the engine from starting when it detects the main switch being in an ON-state, no existence of a connection between an operating device of the main switch and the main switch, and a stopping of the engine. The apparatus prevents the engine from starting by inhibiting at least one of the starting circuits of the engine, an ignition circuit of the engine, and a fuel injection circuit of the engine from closing the circuit(s).

    摘要: A deck floor for a personal watercraft establishes the foot placement based on the body build of the driver without the soles of the feet being bent back. The deck floor includes: a pair of floor faces with a floor face positioned on each side of a seat, a pair of step faces formed ahead of the floor faces, and a pair of intermediate step faces formed between the floor faces and the step faces. Each floor face includes a first plane portion which is substantially horizontal and is continuous to the intermediate step face, and the step face includes a second plane portion which also is continuous to the intermediate step face and is inclined forwardly and upwardly. The intermediate step face is a plane which is inclined at a middle inclined angle between an inclined angle of the first plane portion and an inclined angle of the second plane portion.

The first optical anisotropic layer (42) compensates the retardation of light that enters a liquid crystal layer (38) at an oblique angle while the second and third optical anisotropic layers (43, 44) compensate the retardation of light that enters the liquid crystal layer at a right angle.

    摘要: Red incident light is reflected on a mirror (19) and linearly polarized by a polarizer (26R). Linearly polarized incident light enters a transmissive liquid crystal device (11R), in which oblique incident light is changed into elliptically polarized light. A retardation compensator (27R) between the liquid crystal device (11R) and an analyzer (28R) has an inorganic form birefringence layer. The retardation compensator (27R) yields birefringence effect to change elliptical polarized light into linearly polarized light. Linearly polarized light from the retardation compensator (27R) can pass the analyzer (28R) without decreasing intensity, and enters a color recombining prism (24). The liquid crystal device (11R) may have the inorganic form birefringence layer. Retardation in green and blue light is also compensated in the same manner. Red, green and blue image light, mixed in the color recombining prism (24), is projected onto a screen 3 by a projection lens system (25).
