    摘要: A watercraft storage system for storing and concealing items on watercraft, which includes a suspendable shelf extending downwardly from and attaching to a select portion of the floorboard and connecting to a pair of end caps to form a containment enclosure for housing therewithin a scissor lift configured with an upper platform connecting to a base platform by a pair of moveable supports. A linear actuator connecting to the base platform and a lower forward shaft of the scissor lift operably sets in motion the moveable supports to lift and lower the upper platform relative to the base platform to respectively receive and store items temporarily below the floorboard so as to maintain continuity of the walkways associated with the watercraft.

    摘要: A storage-container includes a hollow compartment with a storage-cover sealing a watertight interior space. The storage-container is able to be coupled to a stern of a kayak to provide an auxiliary storage compartment for the kayak. The compartment is a unitary, rigid component having a right-fin and a left-fin which extend forwardly on either side of the kayak stern, and a peaked-terminus at the back end where the right-fin and the left-fin recede to. Between the right-fin and the left-fin at the front side adjacent to the stern of the kayak is a concavity to accommodate the stern. The interior compartment inhabits both the right-fin and the left-fin, being centered between. The storage-port opens into this interior compartment. A fastener aperture is vertically oriented near the concavity to enable a fastener to connect the container to the kayak stern.

    摘要: A hatch mechanism for releasably securing a hatch to a deck of a vessel may include a latching mechanism comprising a housing extending generally outwardly from a bottom surface of the hatch. The latching mechanism may also comprise a strong back disposed within a opening in the housing and extending generally parallel to the bottom surface of the hatch. Upon application of a pressurized fluid, an actuator may be configured to bias a wedge against the opening in the housing and the strong back such that the wedge urges the strong back towards the bottom surface of the hatch. A method of releasably securing the hatch to deck may comprise providing a source of a pressurized fluid and applying the pressurized fluid to a latching mechanism to releasably secure the hatch to the deck.

    摘要: A hatch installation comprises a hatch surround defining a hatch opening and a hatch door. The hatch door has a mounting end and a free end, and is pivotal between a closed position in which it abuts against the hatch surround and an open position spaced away from the hatch surround. The installation includes a cover member shaped to form a ventilation passage together with the hatch surround having one ventilation opening at the free end of the door and the other ventilation opening towards the end. The ventilation cover includes a water screen having three baffles and a sheet mesh for screening out moisture entrained with air. The ventilation cover includes a further sheet mesh water screen across the other opening. The sheet mesh acts with the hatch door to remove moisture entering through the opening.
