摘要: A vessel operation system includes a propulsion apparatus to generate a forward thrust or a backward thrust by output of an engine, a throttle actuator to change a throttle opening degree of the engine, a first operator, a second operator, and a controller. When the propulsion apparatus generates a backward thrust, the controller sets a first target value within a range not more than a first upper limit value in accordance with an operation of the first operator and control the throttle actuator so that the throttle opening degree reaches the first target value. The controller sets a second target value within a range not more than a second upper limit value larger than the first upper limit value in accordance with an operation of the second operator and control the throttle actuator so that the throttle opening degree reaches the second target value.

摘要: Remote-control units used for docking a marine vessel include both a radio transceiver for communicating with a helm receiver to which control signals for the various vessel systems can be sent, and a WiFi transceiver that can be used to remotely access and adjust the operational profiles stored in the remote control unit. Each of the profiles causes the remote control unit to control one or more vessel systems by ramping up their output over an initial time duration to a maximum profile setting which is a proportion of the maximum output capability of the vessel system.

The stern drive has a powerhead, a mounting assembly configured to affix the powerhead to the transom, inside the marine vessel, and a drive assembly coupled to the mounting assembly, the drive assembly being trimmable up and down relative to the mounting assembly, the drive assembly comprising a driveshaft and an output shaft which extends transversely to the driveshaft. The drive assembly has a driveshaft housing for the driveshaft and a gearcase housing for the output shaft, wherein the gearcase housing is steerable relative to the driveshaft housing. A universal joint couples the powerhead to the driveshaft so that operation of the powerhead causes rotation of the driveshaft, which in turn causes rotation of the output shaft.
