摘要： A rotary input device includes a circular ring shaped operation body, a magnetic first guide plate fixed to the bottom of the operation body, movable magnets disposed on the bottom of a first flat plane of the first guide plate concentrically with the operation body, a base for rotatably supporting the operation body from beneath, a detection element for detecting a change in magnetic field from the movable contacts due to rotating operation of the operation body without making contact, and a magnetic second guide plate fixed to the base having a plurality of second flat planes opposite to the position of the movable magnets so as to be opposite to each one of the movable magnets. The movable magnets face to or depart from each one of the second flat planes of the second guide plate depending on the rotation of the operation body.

摘要： A trackball device of the present invention includes an operating ball, multiple rollers which rotate by contacting the ball while it is rotated, multipole permanent magnets which co-rotate with these rollers, and a reed switch disposed in a position where it turns on and off as a result of changes in magnetic flux caused by the rotation of the permanent magnets so as to provide tactile feedback when the ball is rotated. The trackball device is configured to make an attractive force generated between the reed switch and permanent magnet affect the rotation of the rollers.

摘要： An input device includes a ball having a magnetic body therein. The magnetic body includes projections radially extending from the core toward the outer periphery of the ball. The device also includes a ring magnet and magnet detection elements surrounded by a lower area of the ball so as to be opposite thereto. The structure allows the input device to be protected from dust and dirt during long-term use so as to maintain a good tactile feel in a simple structure. Because, the input device has no components such as rollers that are in contact with the ball.

摘要： An input apparatus includes a case, an operation body stored rotatably in the case, a magnetic body fixed to the operation body, a magnet provided around the operation body, a magnetic detection element for detecting a magnetic flux from the magnetic body, and a frame for retaining the case. The magnetic detection element faces the operation body with a predetermined space therebetween. The frame includes depression sections for causing the magnetic detection element to elastically contact the lower surface of the case. This input apparatus can accurately detect a rotation angle.

Chemical mechanical polishing is executed to expose the insulating surface of the substrate and leave a portion of the conductive film in the trench. The surface of the substrate having the exposed conductive film in the trench and the exposed insulating surface is exposed to first liquid. After being exposed to the first liquid, the surface of the substrate is exposed to second liquid. The first liquid is either solution which contains at least one first substance selected from a first group consisting of benzotriazole, derivative of benzotriazole and interfacial active agent, or water. The second solution is solution which contains the first substance at a density higher than a density of the first liquid.
