A receiver judges whether or not the life of the battery is ending depending on the battery voltage V read from the received data. More specifically, the receiver performs the judgment regarding the life of the battery based on a comparison between the battery voltage V and a variable voltage reference value V0, which is selected in accordance with the temperature T in the tire. The judgment regarding the life of the battery is thus accurately performed.
