摘要： A refrigerator capable of transmitting and receiving information over a network and having an automatic food ordering function and a method for operating the same, wherein the residual amounts of food articles stored in containers of the refrigerator are measured through sensors installed in the containers and then displayed on a screen of a display unit, thereby enabling a user to easily recognize the residual amounts of the food articles stored in the refrigerator without opening the door of the refrigerator. The measured residual amounts of the food articles are compared with minimum proper amounts of the food articles preset by the user, respectively. In the case where the measured residual amount of a specific one of the food articles is smaller than the minimum proper amount of the specific food article, the specific food article is automatically ordered and delivered.

In accordance with the refrigerator setup system and method, the user is allowed to install, directly or via program providing means connected to a network, the application program to establish respective refrigerating or freezing environments desired for the compartments. Thus, it is possible to provide effects of establishing refrigerating and freezing environments for respective compartments meeting the local characteristics of the area where the refrigerator is used.

The Internet refrigerator operating method uses internal information of the Internet refrigerator and information from the external communication devices. According to the Internet refrigerator and the operating method thereof, home automation centering around a kitchen can be implemented.

摘要： A system and method for controlling a refrigerator capable of transmitting and receiving information over an external communication network. A display unit is installed on the front surface of the refrigerator, and a touch panel is connected to the display unit to input a variety of user commands. A schedule management function, a self-diagnosis management function and a component replacement time management function are performed and, if an emergency situation occurs while those functions are performed, a pop-up message is outputted to the screen and information related to the pop-up message is transmitted over the external communication network. Therefore, the user can recognize an emergency situation at an accurate date, manage the refrigerator more efficiently and rapidly and handle information more conveniently. A touch panel and a radio remote controller are selectively used to input a variety of function key signals enabling a user to watch television through the display unit. Therefore, during housekeeping, the user can conveniently watch the television, enter desired key signals or check delivered mails or character messages based on key inputs entered by himself or herself. A camera and microphone are provided to send and receive image and voice mails, thereby removing the inconvenience of key input.

摘要： The activated kaolin powder compound is prepared from naturally-existing kaolin (hereinafter "natural kaolin"). The activated kaolin powder compound is prepared by heating natural kaolin to 480.degree. C. within at most one hour, calcinating the heated kaolin at high temperature by heating to 980.degree. C. over at least one hour, quenching the calcinated kaolin with water or air, and pulverizing the quenched kaolin to give particle sizes of 2 .mu.m or less. The activated kaolin powder compound is employed in an amount of about 5 to 15% by weight of cement for preparing mortar or cement. The cement composition containing the activated kaolin powder compound can provide a mortar or concrete having superior properties in compressive strength, flexural strength and water permeability.

摘要： The activated kaolin powder compound is prepared from naturally-existing kaolin (hereinafter “natural kaolin”).
