Therefore, by installing a software-processing logic against critical errors or definite faults in a television or a set-top box in an OpenCable system, it is possible to diagnose a CableCARD-related status and quickly handle the CableCARD when an error is generated in the CableCARD, thereby reducing costs to service providers and providing an improvement in service quality to users.

摘要： A method and apparatus controls an MTP device to manage a media file transmitted by an MTP host. According to the method, when the number of files in a folder assigned by the MTP host is equal to or more than a predetermined number while storing a media file received from the MTP host, the MTP device generates a new folder and stores the corresponding media file in the new folder. Accordingly, the files within the predetermined number can be stored in one file. Since the number of files stored in one folder is limited, delay in processing media files due to the large number of files can be reduced.

A user can reproduce a media file by using an optimized equalizer of each media file even though the user himself does not set the equalizer. Also, since an equalizer setting of the reproducing apparatus can be applied to another reproducing apparatus, a user can enjoy listening to a media file in the other reproducing apparatus under the same reproducing conditions as those of the reproducing apparatus.
