The method includes: receiving at least two channels of images transmitted from a remote conference site; if there is a blind area in splicing of the at least two channels of images, comparing the width of the blind area with the sum of the widths of a left border and a right border of a display apparatus in a local conference site; processing the at least two channels of images separately according to a comparison result; outputting the at least two channels of processed images separately to the display apparatuses in the local conference site for displaying. The technical solutions provided by the present invention include: at least two local video cameras, configured to shoot at least two channels of local video images; an apparatus for local shooting, stitching, and fusing, configured to fuse the at least two channels of local video images, generate a panoramic video image, encode the panoramic video image into a video code stream, and transmit the video code stream to a video communication site at a remote end; a local display fusing apparatus, configured to obtain at least two channels of video data by decoding a video code stream received from the remote end, fuse the at least two channels of video data, and output the fused video data to local display apparatuses for display.

摘要： A telepresence system, a telepresence method, and a video collection device are disclosed. The telepresence system includes a video collection device, a video display device, an audio collection device, an audio player, and an audio and video communication device. The audio and video communication device transmits videos collected by the video collection device on a local end and audios collected by the audio collection device on the local end to a remote end through a network; the video display device and the audio player on the remote end play the images and audios respectively; and the video collection device is a panoramic camera. The technical solution under the present invention overcomes the poor effect of panoramic presence in the existing telepresence system, and improves the telepresence system in terms of depth presence, seamless display and eye contact.
