An HDD 130 stores a file, and stores volume management data 152 for managing a volume which includes the file; a copyright-data creation section 205 creates volume copyright data 134 for detecting an alteration to the volume management data 152 when the file is written; a flash RAM 132 which is disposed in a position physically different from the HDD 130 stores the volume copyright data 134; a copyright-data comparison section 206 compares the volume management data 152 and the volume copyright data 134 when the volume is mounted; and a control section 202 mounts the volume if a decision is made that there is no alteration.

摘要： The present invention concerns a remote monitoring system and method. In the monitoring terminal unit 10, a TV camera 11 pictures a monitoring object and a sensor 18 watches for any abnormality in the monitoring object. The monitoring images from the TV camera 11 is encoded in the resolution set in an encoder 12. The encoded image data is continuously written in an image storage 14 in a cyclic way. In addition, real-time images pictured by the TV camera or stored images are transmitted to the monitoring central unit 20 via connection control unit 132 only when an abnormality is detected. The monitoring central unit 20 displays on the monitor 27 the images thus sent in. In that remote monitoring system, the resolution to give to the image encoder 12 is fixed at a constant value in the normal state and is raised to a higher value than normal in case of abnormality. That permits watching the monitoring object in a high resolution.

摘要： An image recording and replaying apparatus in which a repeat recording control unit receives specification of a repeat recording time period, and instructs an image data recording unit to record image data; the image data recording unit records the image data into files having capacity corresponding to a predetermined time period; a replay control mode setting unit, under control of the repeat recording control unit, sets an all-replays-available mode for files recorded within the specified repeat recording time period back from the current time, and sets a replay restriction mode for a file that was recorded in the predetermined time period immediately before the repeat recording time period; and a replay control mode judging unit outputs a warning that special replays other than fast forward are not available if it judges that a currently replayed file is set to the replay restriction mode.

The data reading control unit 109 reads pointers to the selected packets from a cycle transmission queue buffer, reads TS packets from a TS packet buffer according to the read pointers, and outputs the read TS packets to a transmission unit.
