摘要: When a optical head is moved towards a appointed track, a reference velocity is read out from reference velocity calculation data in accordance with the number of remaining tracks latched in a track counter circuit. Using the reference velocity calculation data, a compensated reference velocity is calculated from the read out reference velocity. A linear motor control circuit is controlled on the basis of the compensated reference velocity. Thereby, the velocity of the optical head is controlled. In addition, when the optical head is moved towards the appointed track, it is determined whether the optical head is in an acceleration operation mode or in a deceleration operation mode. If the optical head is in the acceleration operation mode, the velocity is controlled by using the reference velocity. If the optical head is in the deceleration operation mode, the velocity is controlled by using the compensated reference velocity.

摘要: With this invention, the reference velocity data corresponding to the number of the remaining tracks to the destination target position of the optical head is stored, and on the basis of the reference velocity data, the velocity of the optical head is controlled. The reference velocity data contains the maximum velocity region data and deceleration data for the optical head. The deceleration data is obtained by subtracting the steady-state deviation from the velocity trajectory. The steady-state velocity deviation is obtained from the response characteristic of the optical-head velocity control system. When the optical head is moved, the reference velocity data corresponding to the number of the remaining tracks between the current position of the optical head and the destination target position is read. On the basis of this read-out reference velocity data, a linear motor for driving the optical head is controlled.

摘要: An optical disk unit is incidence a light spot upon an optical disk. The light spot is radially moved to cross tracks formed on the optical disk. The tracks are provided with specific access marks. The number of access marks passed by the light spot as well as the number of tracks crossed by the light spot until a change is found in a detected access mark are counted. The latter number is divided by the former number and multiplied by a coefficient to provide a speed signal indicative of a speed of the light spot relative to the optical disk.

摘要: A cursor can be operated continuously from a picture now being displayed to another picture not yet displayed. Further, an icon area arranged in another picture not yet displayed can be pointed out accurately without depending upon the operational characteristics of operators. When depressed by an operator, a pad-type input section (5) detects the two-dimensional position and the magnitude of the depression force at a pressure point. The detected data are applied to an encode section (14) through a signal amplifier (13). The encode section (14) detects the two-dimensional coordinates and the pressure value at the pressure point. On the other hand, a domain registering section (15) registers respective partitions on each of a plurality of pictures (8) as a domain group (11) of three-dimensional position domains. Therefore, when the output of the encode section (14) is compared by a comparing section (17) with respect to the positional data, if both match, the data detected by the pad-type input section (5) are assigned to a representative position (12) in a picture of the domain group (11), so that it is possible to accurately allow an input applied onto the pad-type input section (5) to correspond to a two-dimensional area of each of a plurality of pictures (8).

摘要: In a case where tracking control is carried out by a lens actuator in performing a tracking pull-in operation in which tracking control is started in the state where tracking control is out of operation, the tracking control circuit brings control into stable tracking control by moving the light spot onto a groove on the optical disc. After that, when tracking onto a land is needed, the tracking control circuit moves the light spot onto the land. This enables a pull-in action toward a stable tracking operation.
