    摘要: An apparatus for dosing a liquid medicine has a balloon (1), a housing (3) and a delivery assembly `b`. The balloon receives and discharges a liquid medicine under pressure. The housing enclosing the balloon has an opening communicating with the assembly `b` in which a flow regulator (10) is installed. The balloon (1) is composed of flat and expansible sheets secured to both side rims of a short cylindrical frame (2). The flat sheets constituting the balloon are of an even thickness over their whole area, even after being inflated with the medicine, so that the pressure as well as the flow rate of the medicine effluent from the balloon will scarcely vary at the mouth over the course of time. Thus, the liquid medicine is dosed to a patient at a constant flow rate through the regulator.

    摘要: A catheter body includes a main lumen and an auxiliary lumen. The main lumen has an outlet opening located at a distal end of the body and an inlet opening at a proximal end. The auxiliary lumen has an outlet opening located behind and spaced from the distal end a distance of 5-10 cm and an inlet lateral opening located toward the proximal end. An adapter for providing inlet ports communicating with the inlet openings of the main lumen and auxiliary lumen is provided on the catheter body. The adapter includes three members detachably connected to one another. The forward and middle members have threaded portions which engage one another and the middle and rearward members also have threaded portions which engage with one another. Annular seals are provided between the forward and middle members and the middle and rearward members. The adapter can be readily attached to the catheter body and an external device for dosing a liquid medicine can be attached to the adapter.

    摘要: This invention concerns inspection of surface conditions to detect locations, sizes and nature of flaws, defects or stains not only on a flat surface but also on an undulating or stepped surface, and includes the steps of: scanning an inspecting surface of a specimen with a spot-like laser beam projected obliquely from a light source; detecting the height of the inspecting surface from a reflected image of the scanning light picked up by a TV camera located above the inspecting surface, to maintain the inspecting surface at a constant height; converging reflected and diffracted light from the inspecting surface toward a photo-detector having measuring points at the point of convergence and at a number of positions along a concentric circle around the point of convergence; measuring the energy of the reflected and diffracted light by photoelectric transducers connected to the respective measuring points; and displaying locations, sizes and nature of surface flaws, defects and stains of the specimen on a monitor, with combined use of information provided by the picture image of the TV camera as to variations in surface level and cracks on the inspecting surface.
