摘要： An annular member is placed on a forming profile of a convex die without fixing the annular member to the convex die. Then, the convex die is moved toward a concave die which has an axis inclining with respect to an axis of the convex die. When the convex die is moved toward the concave die, the concave die is revolved around the axis of the convex die. The concave die does not revolve about its own axis. Revolving the concave die around the axis of the convex die may be replaced by forcibly rotating the convex die about its own axis. When a compression load is imposed on the annular member, opposed ends of the annular member are formed simultaneously.

摘要： A cooking appliance unit including a top plate on which food items are cooked, a horizontal frame formed around the outer periphery of the top plate, having inlet and outlet ventilation holes on only one side thereof, and a cooking appliance body below the plate and frame having walls defining first, second and third chambers therein. A heating device is provided in the second chamber below the top plate. A control device is provided in the first chamber, the first chamber being in fluid communication with the inlet holes, and the second chamber through a ventilation opening in a partition wall. The third chamber is disposed below the second chamber separated by another partition wall which contains a cooling fan, the third chamber being in fluid communication with the exhaust holes. Thus, the cooling fan draws air through the inlet holes to first cool the control device in the first chamber and then to the second chamber to cool the heating device before being exhausted through the third chamber to the exhaust holes.

摘要： An optical disk drive has a positioner for mounting an optical unit, such as an objective lens and a tracking error signal detector, and a motor for moving the positioner. The positioner is moved in the radial direction of the disk by the motor through gear train. The motor is driven by a signal that includes a compensating current, and this signal controls the positioner to move in accordance with any eccentric displacement of a data track as caused by misalignments between the center of the data track and the axis of the optical disk rotation. The current is synthesized with an amplitude of the eccentricity, as detected by the tracking error signal, and a phase angle, as detected by both the error signal and an index signal indicative of a reference angular position of a spindle motor for the optical disk rotation.

摘要： A lens actuator of an optical head for an optical disc drive includes a two-dimensional actuator supported by a carriage via a spring, a second lens held by the two-dimensional actuator, a slider supported by the two-dimensional actuator and floated off a turning optical disc, and a first lens held by the slider. A laser beam is focused on the optical disc by an object lens system which includes the first lens and the second lens. The slider is supported by the two-dimensional actuator via a support having a predetermined spring constant in the focus directions while also having freedom to follow tilting of the optical disc.
