In the case of the measurement of the eye axis length, when moving a detecting terminal itself by driving means, the driving means is controlled so as to slow down the speed of movement of the detecting terminal when the detecting terminal comes near the cornea of the eye to be examined.

摘要: The present invention relates to an optical instrument for examining the eye fundus which is so designed that in the optical system including an objective lens visible, targets are built for orientating the visual line of the eye to be inspected along the direction convenient for the inspection of the desired part of the eye fundus in order to be able to inspect the desired part. The visible targets are located at the position conjugate to the eye fundus with regard to the optical system including the objective lens in order that the light beam coming from the targets through the objective lens reaches the eye to be inspected. The image of the visible targets is formed on the eye fundus of the eye to be inspected while the eye to be inspected observes the visible targets through the objective lens in such a manner that the visual line is oriented in the direction along which the targets are seen.

摘要: A non-contact type tonometer in which an air is sprayed on an eye to be examined to deform the cornea and measure the intraocular pressure of the eye to be examined. The tonometer is provided with a cylinder, a piston for compressing the air in the cylinder, a deformation detection system for detecting deformation of the cornea sprayed with the air, and a driving system for driving the piston and having a piston driving spring and a spring operation mechanism. When a measurement is performed, the force is accumulated in the spring, then released by the mechanism.

摘要: A fundus camera includes a light source for observation, and an illiminating optical system having a predetermined illiminating optical axis. The light source for observation illiminates a fundus of an eye via the illiminating optical system. The camera further includes an observation optical system disposed so as to be able to observe the fundus illiminated by the light source for observation, a photographing light source for illiminating the fundus during a photographing operation and disposed on the illiminating optical axis of the illiminating optical system, a photographing system for photographing the fundus illuminated by the photographing light source, and a reflecting member disposed between the light source for observation and the photographing light source on the illuminating optical axis so as to reflect light from the photographing light source in the direction of the fundus during illumination by the photographing light source. The reflecting member is retractable from the illuminating optical axis.
