The management server 1 judges a type of an apparatus coupled to a communication network 5 on the basis of service utilization information T1, which is acquired from a discovered device or acquired from a device (an iSNS server 4, for example) having a name server function for resolving an address from a public name, and on the basis of discovery management information prepared beforehand (S1, S2). The management server 1 acquires a communication protocol in accordance with the type of the apparatus from protocol selection rules T3, and attempts authentication of the apparatus by using the communication protocol (S3).

    摘要: There is provided a failure analysis function capable of reducing the time required to resolve a failure in a piece of equipment to be monitored. When the failure analysis function senses that the status of a piece of equipment which had been abnormal has returned to normal, it displays, of failure analysis results, one based on an equipment abnormality which has been resolved in a GUI separately from the other analysis results. If a failure analysis result is derived based on a plurality of failure events, the failure analysis function displays the failure analysis result in the GUI separately from the other failure analysis results when all of the failure events are confirmed to be resolved (see FIG. 16).

    摘要: The present invention realizes root cause analysis processing with a high certainty factor while holding down management cost. In the present invention, besides one or more condition events which could occur in a node apparatus, an additional event different from the condition events is introduced into an analysis rule for a root cause analysis. This analysis rule indicates a relation between the condition events and additional event and a conclusion event recognized as a failure factor according to satisfaction of the condition events and additional event. The additional event is a command for instructing execution of an action for acquiring additional information from the node apparatus according to a satisfaction state of the one or more condition events. A detected state is applied to the analysis rule, a certainty factor as information indicating possibility of occurrence of a failure in the node apparatus is calculated on the basis of satisfaction or non-satisfaction of the condition events and an execution result of the action, and a root cause analysis result is generated. The obtained root cause analysis result is output according to necessity.
