Abstract:
A method for updating identity information of a packet gateway, an authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA) server and a packet gateway. The method includes: a decision-making network element receiving a message which carries user equipment (UE) capability indication information and is sent by an information transmission network element; the decision-making network element deciding whether to update identity information of the packet gateway or not according to the UE capability indication information carried in the message and/or local information. The technical solution can be applied to distinguish R11 UE and R12 UE, and to ensure supporting both the R11 UE and the R12 UE normally accessing to a 3GPP core network through a 3GPP access system and a non-3GPP access system simultaneously.
Abstract:
A trusted non-3GPP access network element and a method for accessing a mobile network and detachment are disclosed. The method for accessing a mobile network includes: a TNAN network element receives an extensible authentication protocol (EAP) authentication success message or an EAP authentication success triggering message, and then establishes a session with a packet data network gateway (P-GW) of a mobile network; and the TNAN network element receives an IP address request message from user equipment and then allocates an IP address consistent with the packet data network (PDN) type requested by the user equipment to the user equipment.
Abstract:
A method, device and system for accessing a core network by means of non-3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) access are disclosed, so as to acquire capability information of a User Equipment (UE) and/or capability information of a non-3GPP access system, and decide, according to the acquired capability information, whether the UE transfers information required for establishing an Evolved Packet Core (EPC) session. The disclosure can enhance the capability of the UE to support establishment of an extra Packet Data Network (PDN) connection and service continuity during switching between access systems. Meanwhile, the capability of a peer can be acquired through the UE and a network, so that the network may support normal access by an existing UE and an enhanced UE simultaneously.
