摘要: Methods for updating an information retrieval system are disclosed. In one embodiment, search terms affiliated with mappings or associations that represent a connection of relevancy between a query and an asset are pushed as content updates to a client system (e.g., as new updates or utilized to replace older data). The search terms are inserted (e.g., inserted as metadata) into corresponding content (the content associated with the asset). In this manner, content-searching data can be updated (e.g., remotely updated) as frequently as desired, even periodically, or selectively as new manually and/or automatically derived data becomes available. In another embodiment, the update data is already built into the content when it is delivered to a client machine. Other disclosed embodiments pertain to methods for generating a data mining classification model that is a blended representation of associations (e.g., query-asset associations) having different characteristics and/or different originating sources.

摘要: A search authoring tool for mapping queries to assets for use in an information retrieval system has a query-to-asset mappings database, a search authoring engine, and a search evaluation engine. The query-to-asset mappings database is built from search author input and user mappings. The search authoring engine is adapted to receive operator input and to generate one or more new query-to-asset mappings based on the received operator input. The search evaluation engine is adapted to compare the one or more new query-to-asset mappings to the existing mappings to determine if the one or more new query-to-asset mappings will cause performance degradation of the information retrieval system.

摘要: A system of accessing through a financial processing network multiple accounts associated with a single financial card. Data is input to the financial network in addition to the transaction data and the account identification data that in read from the card. This addition data permits the proper account to be accessed. The data may be input at the point of sale as an account selection. In this instance, the selection may be used to route the transaction data through the financial processing network or may be used to read data regarding one of multiple accounts encoded on the card. The data may also be stored as conditional routing rules at transfer points in the financial processing network. In this instance, the transaction is routed to the proper account based on the stored rules.

摘要: A method, system and product for delivering a postal mailpiece to a recipient address. A registration based mail-addressing protocol is utilized that allows a postal recipient to create and maintain a proxy address, which is dynamically associated with the recipient's postal address and is more simple than the postal address. The sender of a postal mailpiece addresses the mailpiece with the simplified proxy address instead of the burdensome recipient postal address. The method, system and product allows recipients to create and manage proxy addresses, detects a proxy address on a mailpiece and takes the appropriate measures to deliver the postal mailpiece to a physical address corresponding recipient postal address.

摘要: A linked account instrument is used to access funds in an existing demand deposit account held at a financial institution. Merchant or other transactions are first processed against a demand deposit account via an electronic authorization network. If the demand deposit account does not have sufficient funds, the transactions may be processed as a credit charge against an designated credit account. The demand deposit account may subsequently be swept at predetermined times in search of funds to defray the overdraft. If adequate funds are present, they will be withdrawn from the demand deposit account, and the credit account will be cleared. Otherwise, the instrument holder's daily purchasing abilities may be temporarily suspended until the credit account is settled. The processing of overdraft amounts may be on a FIFO, smallest-first or other basis.

摘要: A computer-implemented method for facilitating electronic funds transactions is disclosed. According to one embodiment, the method may comprise the steps of: issuing a transaction card to a cardholder by associating the transaction card with a demand deposit account from which the cardholder is authorized to electronically disburse funds; receiving an authorization request for an attempted transaction between a merchant and the cardholder, the authorization request containing information associated with the transaction card and the attempted transaction; processing the authorization request based on one or more predetermined business rules; authorizing the transaction without immediately settling the transaction against the demand deposit account of the cardholder; and settling the transaction, at a time subsequent to the execution of the transaction, through automated clearing house (ACH) from funds retained within the demand deposit account of the cardholder.
