Abstract:
A magazine for bundles of blanks includes a vertical channel configured for inserting and extracting bundles of blanks and a succession of groups of supporting parts distributed along the channel. The supporting parts are configured to support the underside of a respective bundle of blanks. More specifically, each supporting part is movable between an extracted position, where it projects from the channel, towards the inside of the channel, to intercept a bundle that is moving down along the channel and to provide a steady support for the bundle, and a retracted position, where the supporting part is aligned or recessed with respect to the channel to allow the bundle to move along the channel towards a portion under the supporting part. The magazine also includes, for each supporting part, an actuating device configured to promote the passage of the supporting part from the retracted position to the extracted position and controllable by an operator, preferably manually.
Abstract:
A feed unit for articles includes a guide extending along a guide longitudinal axis to define a linear feed path for such articles. The guide is for accommodating articles arranged in a row one after the other and to guide the articles as the articles move along the linear feed path. The articles have a characteristic length corresponding to their size along the longitudinal axis. At least one segment of the guide is progressively rotated about the guide longitudinal axis by a total angle greater than 180° and with an angular variation per unit of linear measurement such that, substantially for each portion of the linear feed path equal to the characteristic length of the articles, the guide is rotated about the longitudinal axis by an angle greater than 4°.
Abstract:
Banknotes emerging from a checking machine are caused to advance singly in succession along an outfeed duct of which the runout connects with a stacking channel; the banknotes come to rest on a companion element operating along the channel and capable of movement between a first receiving position, in which the banknotes are allowed to accumulate until formed into a group of given number that corresponds to one stack, and a second release position within the operating compass of a compactor with hinged arms, of which the function is to compress and hold the stack against the companion element. The compacted stack of banknotes is picked up finally by a gripper and transferred from the companion element to a bundling machine, which binds it with a wrapping band.
Abstract:
A method of gumming a web of paper material in a filter tip attachment machine is implemented using a gumming device that comprises a gumming roller and a transfer roller counter-rotating tangentially one to another about horizontal and parallel axes, and creating a trough in which to hold a prescribed quantity of adhesive supplied by a feed circuit, also a drive system by which the rollers are set in rotation on their axes, and a control unit to which both the feed circuit and the drive system are interlocked. The gumming roller revolves tangentially to the web of material at a gumming station, and the method envisages a procedure, triggered in the event of a stoppage affecting the machine, that consists in the steps of suspending delivery of the adhesive, distancing the web of paper material from the gumming roller, and reversing the direction of rotation of the rollers, relative to the direction of rotation during normal operation, in such a way that the trough is emptied gradually of adhesive.
Abstract:
A device for the transfer of products from the upper terminal section of a first vertical conveyor belt to an initial section of a horizontal channel of reception and advancement along a feed line of the products themselves, which channel comprises at least one pushing element located at the terminal section of the conveyor belt and having continuous motion along a closed trajectory.
Abstract:
The method and device for sealing a narrow tape to a strip of heatsealable material in cigarette packing machines, which produce packets of cigarettes protected by an external wrapper made of plastic which can be torn using the said tear tape; to avoid a thermal degradation in the sections of heatsealable strip adjacent to the sealing zone, the present invention envisages sealing the narrow tape to the strip by passing them through a sealing unit, in contact with one another, and joining them with an ultrasound sealer which directs the ultrasound to at least a zone in which the narrow tape and strip overlap; the intensity of the heatsealing action of the ultrasound is controlled and adjusted by elements which detect the feed speed of the narrow tape and strip.
