摘要: A breakaway electrical connector is provided that includes a line side and a load side. The line side that is connectable to a line conductor, while the load side is connectable to a load conductor. The line side has a first magnet and a first plurality of contacts. The load side has a second magnet and a second plurality of contacts. The first and second magnets provide a magnetic connection force to maintain the line and load sides connected to one another with the first and second plurality of contacts electrically coupled to one another.

摘要: A non-fan rated ceiling junction box is provided. The junction box includes a main body, an outlet, and fasteners that connect the outlet in the main body. The fasteners have a feature selected from a group consisting of: non-removable, removable only using a non-standard tool, inaccessible without a special tool, positioned on the main body so as to be inaccessible when installed, and any combinations thereof.

摘要: A wildlife guard assembly is provided that includes two cover sections, a biasing member, and a toggle action lever mechanism. The cover sections are hinged so that the cover sections, when in a closed position, a cavity to capture a line post insulator is defined. The biasing member normally biases the cover sections to the closed position. The lever mechanism is connected to the cover sections and has an over-center position that releasably holds the two cover sections in an open position. The lever mechanism is positioned in the cavity such that, during installation on the line post insulator, the line post insulator interacts with the lever mechanism to move the lever mechanism from the over-center position to allow the biasing member and the lever mechanism to move the cover sections to the closed position.

摘要: Electrical wiring devices that incorporate clamp-type wire terminal connections are described. The electrical wiring devices include for example, single and duplex blade-type electrical receptacles, blade-type locking electrical receptacles, single or multi-pole electrical switches, combination switches and blade-type receptacles, blade-type plugs for electrical cords and blade-type connectors for electrical cords. The electrical wiring devices include a plurality of contact assemblies. Each contact assembly includes a wire terminal and a plunger.

摘要: A method for monitoring power consumption of an appliance within a space is provided. The method includes obtaining a first set of data indicative of power consumption of the appliance during an interval of time and determining a profile indicative of power consumption of the appliance based, at least in part, on the first set of data. The method includes obtaining a second set of data indicative of power consumption of the appliance subsequent to obtaining the first set of data. The method includes determining whether power consumption of the appliance deviates from the profile based, at least in part, on the second set of data. Furthermore, in response to determining power consumption of the appliance deviates from the profile, the method includes providing a notification indicative of power consumption of the appliance deviating from the profile.
