    摘要: The present disclosure provides a welding system having a welder, a welding gun, and a welding gun adapter, the welding gun being a spool gun with an attached motor. The welding gun adapter receives welding power from the welder, and converts it to output power suitable for driving the motor of the welding gun. The welding gun adapter also uses received welding power from the welder for control power. The present techniques allow for the use of welding guns requiring motor power to be used with any ordinary welder.

    摘要: A system includes a power supply, a first cable assembly, and a second cable assembly. The power supply includes a housing and supports extending from an upper portion of the housing. The first cable assembly has a clamp disposed at a distal end of a first cable extending from the power supply. The clamp is configured to be removably coupled with a workpiece. The second cable assembly has a torch disposed at a distal end of a second cable extending from the power supply. The housing includes one or more sloped panels configured to hold the first and second cables in a position wrapped about the upper portion of the housing when the clamp and the torch are coupled to the supports.

    摘要: The present invention is a weld wire comprising a sheath encapsulating a metal core made of powdered metal, wherein a fill percentage of the metal core is no less than approximately 12%. The metal core comprises a core composition alloyed with an alloying element or an combination of elements comprising Cr, Mo, V, W, Hf and Nb or combinations thereof, wherein a total weight percentage of the alloying element or the combination of elements in the core composition does not exceed approximately 1%. In a particular embodiment, the alloying element is Mo in the amounts selected from the range of about 0 to about 0.5 percent by weight and the fill percentage of the metal core is selected from the range of about 12% to about 30%. In a particular embodiment of the invention, the total percentage of the combination of elements is selected from the range of about 0.4% to about 0.8%.
