    摘要: A hot runner process controller configured to monitor the status and operation of a hot runner system to autonomously generate information to improve the quality of injection molding process of a hot runner system having an inlet nozzle, one or more manifolds and one or more nozzles with actuator or without actuator, and one or more heating elements, the hot runner process controller is self-operating, and independent from the injection molding machine, includes: one or more sensors located on, in or at the hot runner system to detect the status and/or the operation of the hot runner system, and a processing unit and a memory. The processing unit is connected to the one or more sensors, wherein the memory stores data and program codes. The processing unit is configured to load and execute the program code to compare sensor information with the stored data and to determine if the hot runner system is in an operable status, and in case the hot runner system is in an operable status, configured to generate status information to activate the one or more heating elements and/or the one or more actuators enabling a production operation of the injection molding machine. In case the hot runner system is not in an operable status, configured to generate status information to deactivate the one or more heating elements and/or close or deactivate the one or more actuators disabling a production operation of the injection molding machine.

    摘要: An injection molding nozzle for dispensing of molten material includes an elongated body member having an outer surface, a first portion at a proximal end, a second portion at a distal end, and a central passageway extending longitudinally therethrough from the first portion to the second portion. The central passageway includes an inlet defined at the proximal end and splits outwardly at the second portion to form a radially extending passageway leading to an outlet. A tip member is coupled to the outlet to facilitate dispensing of molten material into a mold cavity. A groove is defined on the outer surface of the body member that winds from the first portion to a heated section of the second portion that is positioned adjacent to the tip member.

    摘要: Tool insert for the initial cut of a hot-passage nozzle for an injection molding machine, which tool insert (10) accommodates the anterior (tool side) part of a nozzle and is insertable in turn in a suitably dimensioned recess (21) of the tool (20), which tool insert (10) consists of an anterior cylindrical fitted part (11) having a flow passage (11a) and a receiving head (12) for the tip of the nozzle. At least two cavities (chambers) (23) separated from each other are present between the outer wall (12a) of the receiving head (12) of the tool insert (10) and the wall of the recess (21) in the tool (20), one of which cavities (23) communicates with the supply passage (31) for a coolant, present in the tool, and the other cavity communicates with the discharge passage (32) for the coolant, present in the tool. Also, at least one flow connection is provided between the two cavities (23), preferably located as far as possible from the openings of the coolant passages (31, 32) in the tool.

The accommodating head is provided at its (per se cylindrical) outer surface with one or more projections capable of cutting, which in the radial direction have an extension that is greater than the radius of the accommodating bore provided in the tool for accommodation of the accommodating head of the tool insert. The projections capable of cutting are designed in such a way that, upon insertion of the tool insert into the said accommodating bore of the tool, a guide grooves are cut into the inner surface of the accommodating bore in the tool.

    摘要: A pneumatic control device for needle valves in injection molding systems. The control device has a control piston, a needle valve, a control cylinder and a cylindrical receptacle in which the control cylinder is positioned. The needle valve is adjustably secured to the piston. The control cylinder has channels for supplying and removal of pressure gas from two cylindrical chambers separated by the control piston. The control cylinder is firmly positioned against the surface of the recess in which it is situated. A plurality of seals positioned between the contact surfaces define two chambers separated from one another. A pressure gas channel is connected to each of the chambers for supply and removal of pressurized gas into and out of the chambers which control the movement of the control piston and thus the needle valve. A space is left between the recess in the control receptacle and the control cylinder in order to allow the control cylinder to shift laterally due to the occurrence of lateral forces exerted on the needle valve.

At one end the sprue bushings are screwed into mating receptacles in the manifold block and centered at the exit openings of the material passageways in the block. The sprue bushings have annular grooves adjacent the connection with the manifold block creating points of flexure in order to accommodate dimensional changes due to temperature changes during use, and also to accommodate manufacturing tolerances.

    摘要: An injection mold bushing which is mounted on the mold and is adapted for sprueless molding. The construction comprises an inner shank and an outer body between which is mounted a heating element for independently controlling the heat at each gate. The material passage is straight and centrally located, minimizing the likelihood of material collecting and degrading in the passage, and making it simple to clear this passage if material build-up occurs. The location of the heater and insulating construction around the bushing insures that the mold will be uniformly cool relative to the material, minimizing distortion of the molded parts.

    摘要: A self-contained molding machine nozzle which is mountable in the mold die and has optimum material flow and heat control characteristics while reducing repair costs. The nozzle comprises an elongated body having a central passage, and a replaceable exit cap mounted at the forward end of the body, this exit cap carrying a torpedo which guides the material to the exit orifice. An external heater surrounds the body and extends over the cap which is provided with flats to facilitate removal and limit heat transfer. An air gap is provided between the cap and surrounding mold die to prevent undesired chilling of the tip by the cooled die.
