    摘要: An air purge system for an optical sensor is disclosed. The air purge system includes a two sided lens having an optical sensor positioned on the first side and a fluid stream on the second side. The air purge system further includes, a plenum having an inlet, an array of parallel channels and an outlet, whereby the array of parallel channels, is disposed between the inlet and the outlet. The outlet is positioned on the second side of the housing and may be adapted to direct a fluid stream substantially parallel to the second side of the lens.

The optically transmitting element is capable of transmitting electromagnetic radiation. The contamination detection apparatus includes a contamination detection (CD) radiation source for providing a source intensity of radiation. The source intensity or radiation passes through the optically transmitting element at least one time. A reference detector is also provided for detecting the source intensity of radiation, and the reference detector has a reference output level that is representative of the source intensity.

    摘要: An apparatus for monitoring and detecting thermal sealing defects includes a thermal imager, a controller, and an output device. The thermal imager is mounted along a process line that transports an object having at least one recently created thermal-seal. The controller includes an input that is communicably coupled to the thermal imager for receiving thermal image data of the thermal-seal and an output. The controller is programmed to detect at least one of a hot zone and a cool zone on the thermal-seal. The output device is communicably coupled to the output of the controller and indicates the results of the seal detection.

    摘要: A light detector is disclosed for measuring the temperature of an object. The light detector includes a lens assembly for accepting light emitted from the object, an aperture, and a mirror for reflecting the infrared energy of the object into a fiber optic cable. The fiber optic cable is connected to a depolarizing element to which pressure is externally applied. The depolarization element relays the infrared energy into a detection portion and a signal processing portion for calculating temperature. Before the infrared light enters the fiber optic cable, a chopper, controlled by a driving circuit, chops the infrared energy reflected by the mirror.
