    Abstract: A flow regulator for regulating a flow rate of water within at least a section of a water system, such as an irrigation system, includes a base member and piston member. The piston member is movable relative to the base member and includes at least one notch through which water can flow when passing through the flow regulator. Movement of the piston member towards and away from the base member, respectively, decreases and increases an area of the notch through which water can flow. An orifice member detachably coupled to the piston member and having an orifice member aperture through which all water flowing through the flow regulator must pass limits the cross-sectional area of an interior water passage within the piston member.

The irrigation column further includes a plurality of drip line segments extending alongside the fluid conducting line, a plurality of zone valves located along the fluid conducting line, and a plurality of control tubes extending alongside the fluid conducting line. And each control tube is in fluid communication with a respective one of the zone valves for actuating the zone valve.

    Abstract: A drip irrigation emitter receives liquid flowing in an irrigation pipe at an inlet pressure and emits the liquid out of the emitter at an outlet pressure lower than the inlet pressure. The emitter has a flow path through which the liquid flows in the emitter, wherein below a threshold pressure of liquid in the pipe the emitter is adapted to emit a regulated flow of liquid out of the emitter, and above the threshold pressure of liquid in the pipe the emitter is adapted to emit a non-regulated flow of liquid out of the emitter.
