摘要: A method for guiding a user of an electric vehicle to a charging facility includes: searching for charging facilities existing within a predetermined distance from the current position of the electric vehicle; when a high-output charging facility and a low-output charging facility in a predetermined positional relationship with the high-output charging facility are searched, calculating the estimated value of a remaining charged capacity of a battery of the electric vehicle; calculating the estimated value of a charging time if charging the battery of the electric vehicle from the estimated value of the remaining charged capacity of the battery to a predetermined charged capacity at each of the searched charging facilities; and when the difference between the estimated value of the charging times at the high-output charging facility and the low-output charging facility is a predetermined value or less, presenting the low-output charging facility to the user of the electric vehicle.

摘要: In this vehicle position estimation device, positions of a target present in a periphery of a vehicle are detected, amounts of movements of the vehicle are detected, and the positions of the target are stored as target position data, based on the detected amounts of movements. In addition, map information including the positions of the target is pre-stored in a map database, and, by matching the target position data and the map information, a vehicle position of the vehicle is estimated. Further, a turning point of the vehicle is detected. Furthermore, target position data in a range from a present location to a set distance and in a range going back from the turning point by another set distance to a point (the turning point—another set distance) are retained.

摘要: Provided is a software updating device for executing processing for updating software causing an equipment mounted on a vehicle to operate. The software updating device includes a controller that acquires the software, and controls the equipment by applying the software to the equipment. The controller includes a first storage unit that stores acquired first software and a second storage unit that stores acquired second software. In a state where no driving force is output by a power train of the vehicle, the controller executes processing for updating the software by changing software to be applied to the equipment from the first software to the second software.

摘要: A battery abnormality warning method involves detecting an abnormality in a vehicle-mounted battery and warning an occupant in the vehicle. The battery abnormality warning method determines whether a pressure abnormality has occurred in the battery based on an air pressure inside a battery pack of the battery. The battery abnormality warning method further determines whether a voltage abnormality has occurred in the battery based on a cell voltage of the battery. An abnormality is determined to have occurred in the battery when both a pressure abnormality in the battery and a voltage abnormality in the battery are determined to have occurred within a prescribed time period. A warning is outputted to the occupant in the vehicle upon determining that an abnormality has occurred in the battery.

摘要: The vehicle control device sets a region including a stationary object on a road, calculates a passing position at which a host vehicle and an oncoming vehicle pass each other in accordance with a velocity of the host vehicle and a position and a velocity of the oncoming vehicle, calculates a first score that is a larger value as the velocity of the oncoming vehicle is greater, calculates a second score that is a larger value as an acceleration rate of the oncoming vehicle is greater, integrates the first score with the second score so as to calculate an integration score, and causes the host vehicle to decelerate when the integration score is greater than or equal to a predetermined value or causing the host vehicle to keep the velocity or accelerate when the integration score is smaller than the predetermined value.

摘要: A traveling path setting method for a vehicle has a set traveling path of a host vehicle that includes a traveling path that turns across another lane at an intersection. The traveling path setting method is configured to set a traveling path for turning of the vehicle to an inner side of a turning direction when an adjacent vehicle exists within a predetermined distance outward of the traveling path of the host vehicle in the turning direction, compared to a case where no adjacent vehicle exists.
