    摘要： Systems and methods for providing remote approval of an image for printing are provided. One system includes a processing circuit in communication with an image capturing device that is configured to capture an image of a printed product. The processing circuit is configured to process the captured image into a processed image accurate to within a tolerance in a color space to indicate the visual appearance of one or more colors. The color space is a standardized color space, such as sRGB or CIELAB. The processing circuit is further configured to transmit the processed image to a display located remote from the image capturing device and to receive an input signal from a remote input device to allow a user to approve or reject the displayed processed image for printing on a print device.

One system includes a processing circuit configured to: determine a set of one or more locations on the printed image on the substrate to measure color values; determine a set of input tone values for the at least one ink; receive a set of measured color values corresponding to the set of locations on the printed image from a sensor; and determine a tone value increase error based on the set of measured color values and the set of input tone values. The at least one processing circuit is configured to determine the tone value increase error without requiring measured color values from an area having solid ink.

The first imaging device is configured to process color data from the first image using a first processing circuit of the first imaging device and the second imaging device is configured to process spatial information from the second image using a separate second processing circuit of the second imaging device.

    摘要： Systems and methods for imaging an imprinted substrate on a printing press is provided. One method comprises sensing light reflected by the substrate using a contact image sensor to produce data representative of the imprinted substrate. The substrate has been imprinted with different colors at a plurality of printing units of the printing press. Each printing unit comprises a plate cylinder. The data representative of the imprinted substrate is output by the contact image sensor as analog voltage signals. The method further comprises receiving the analog voltage signals from the contact image sensor at a sensor interface circuit and converting the analog voltage signals to digital signals using an analog-to-digital converter of the sensor interface circuit. The method further comprises processing the digital signals using the sensor interface circuit to produce corrected digital signals and storing data based on the corrected digital signals in a memory.

    摘要： An image processing apparatus for use with a printed image on a moving substrate is provided. The image processing apparatus includes a first imaging device configured to process spatial data which indicates a position of color patches printed along an edge portion of the printed image on the moving substrate. The image processing apparatus further includes a second imaging device configured to process at least one of densitometric data and colorimetric data of the color patches of the printed image. The first imaging device and second imaging device acquire image data from substantially the same position on the substrate at substantially the same time. The image processing apparatus further includes a processor configured to monitor a color of the printed image on the moving substrate based on the spatial data and the at least one of densitometric data and colorimetric data.
